I think you probably got a bad box. My PB& honey tasted similar to the peanut butter balls in the Reses Puffs with a little Honey Smacks thrown in, and with a very robust crunch. It was decent. The Mac & Mellow tasted like Lucky Charms to me too, and I didn't like it much.
I don't know about other kids, but we did not get this kind of cereal when I was growing up. We got Total, Cheerios, Special K and the like. Today I rarely eat any kind of cereal. Also too we got a lot of hot cereal. Beats me why anyone would purchase this for their children with all the sugar in it. I try to live by the saying "if it does grow that way, don't eat it". Yes, I fail sometimes, but don't we all. Happy Holidays and the best to you!
