👍🏻 up everyone!! Help me out with the UA-cam AI... thank you so much for watching!! Couldn’t do it without y’all! I love bringing you along on my fishing trips!! 😊
#1, get down faster, #2 line tension, especially in wind, #3 better location on directional sonar, you can detect your bait placement better on the electronics. We use the same principle Fishing structure like bridge columns, except it’s two jigs instead of a split shot and a jig. If you used to jigs in structure like timber, or brush piles, you’ll just hang out more often.
No way, that thing is like walking around on a dock… Sweet! I’m just more of a kayak guy… Been doing kayaking for over 11 years… And I just feel like the money I have invested in the paddleboard could be better invested in my business somewhere else. I like it though it’s really awesome
All the Crappie rod companies use Chinese Blanks. I talked to several manufacturers that said if they sourced the rods in the states, they would have to sell them for $300+ to make a profit. I don’t use ACC anymore. They break like twigs. I work with Pure Crappie now. Much better carbon fiber blanks. Still cost effective for the casual user too.
Save your money. Bought a 7”6 ACC crappie stix, stiff as a broom handle. Over priced hype. Way to stiff for panfish. It’s more of a medium powered bass rod.
@@BarFlyFishingTexas Thanks for the reply Barfly. I like your channel. I was so disappointed in the ACC crappie stix. I reached out to em, to see if they had a return policy, for customer satisfaction. lol. They replied with, we have other rods, with softer tips. Why would I make that mistake again. I heard of people saying they break easy. Keep catching them dawgs.

Another good one Barfly. Love catching those big whites.
Great video. I love your set up. Comfortable and fun.
Very nice!! Crazy how many black crappie you caught!
I only showed a small fraction of my catches. Tons of blacks
Thanks for another the great video and info. Be safe on the water buddy.
Thanks for watching Frank!
Oh and totally enjoy all your videos
Thank you D!!!
Great info on the rods. Can you tell more about the type/size hooks and line you use? Thanks
I like suffix 6lb hi vis for bobber and casting, but 10lb Power Pro braid for vertical jigging.
Nice work !
Thanks Blake!!
Some good dogs for sure
Be sure to 👍🏼 & 🔔 ‼️
Do u like the piscifun viper x reels??? Are they any good???
Yes, I have a dozen of them. Use them on my own rods and for my guide clients. They work great.
How are you liking your new transducer holder for your live scope? Also, what was the brand of that one again please?
Seelite is the brand. Like it so far
Man you caught some really nice fish👌👌 I seriously need to get back to that Lake😮😮😮 13 inch black crappie? that's my PB I caught this week😋😋😋
Man you'll be hitting 10K before you know it👍👍👍😁😁😁
I’m curious how the super grip material holds up to sun and age. I’ve had similar grips get sticky and break down.
So far so good. All my handles are perfect and I use them ALOT!! The rods break really easy, so you have to baby them though.
Mine are fine after years of use, other than fish slime lol
@@BarFlyFishingTexas rods do not break easily. It's how you flip the fish. Watch the deer meat for dinner video on how to never break a rod.
Is there somewhere you can go and actually hold an acc? I can't buy a rod before I hold it.
Cordell outdoors in Tioga sells them I think
May be a dumb question but what is the purpose of the split shot above the jig

@@BarFlyFishingTexas awesome thanks for the info, we mainly fish for them in drains inside Houston city limits.

I need a spot like that!
@@BarFlyFishingTexas every retention pond in Houston is loaded, not many crappie fish either.
I’ve been trying to get that 6.6 but always out of stock
Try Cordell Outdoors in Tioga Tx
What reels are you using?
Piscifun Viper X 2000
Cool video
What reel is this?
I will see you out there!
Hope so GOP
@@BarFlyFishingTexas Hoping to clear my work schedule today so I can go out tomorrow. Either to Ray Roberts or Lewisville depending on the wind.
What reels are u using?
Piscifun Viper X
What reel do you use?
Piscifun Viper X, Carbon X, and Alloy X
Get rid of that paddleboard thing? Too unstable?

Dude, you’re in Texas so many other options for fishing rods besides ones made in China

Check out old 18
Not necessarily a crappie rod, but a good rod. See what you think.
Nice bunch of Specks
Them ACC crappie rods I have two 10’ ft they’re not worth the price 🥱😪👎💩
Sub $100 for these is a good price for what you get. You have to baby them or you’ll break em though.

This video is a couple years old! I did move off ACC and moved over to Pure Crappie Tackle!! Better action and WAY more durable!

@RussFishes4fun they break like twigs…Thanks for the support!!
Reel sounds awful
Hahahahaha.... That is the sound of braid!!!!
