Happy Happy Joy Joy !!! You're going to LOVE all the attachments. I Had a Kubota with all the attachments like you now have. My Favorite was the chipper, for all the reasons you listed. Enjoy. Hans, now you need a chainsaw mill for your custom woodworking.
You know l dont watch anything about machines but watching Budo l have learnt a lot lolol. He explains everything about tools and how they work . great job Budo. Hey from Canada
I'm with you, Tracy. The smell of fresh tilled earth and grass is one of the most wonderful smells there is. Add the fresh air after a rain, and orgasmic is definitely the word.
I am very happy for you both. Those farm implements and Budo's knowledge will be a huge asset to your farm and sustainability. As always, Budo explained everything so well, even the sponsorship.
I'm so happy that you have this equipment to help with yr homesteading , looking forward to the lavender being planted , cant wait for the future videos ,
Loved getting the farm machinery lesson. In a very short time your place will be spectacular I just know it. Be safe and enjoy all the new toys. Crack On !
Hi Budo and Tracy. The new machinery will make life so much easier with your ongoing projects on the land. However I don't know what the situation is in France but machinery theft in UK is rife. As you're so open there and right on the road I'd be looking at some form of security especially as all your machines are brand new. I certainly hope this doesn't happen but prevention is better than regrets later. Loving the vids and the interesting projects. 👍
Hi Kenneth thank you yes you are so right mate but this sort of crime is unheard here but we have taken procurations in any event we have micro cameras on them which alert our phones as well as them chained up and the dogs here any noises as its so quite here also we have a strategy if this sort of thing happens which i can't go into on here great comment and thank you once again 🍺🤠👍
You’re all set for success. It’ll be lovely to see you transform your land into something truly spectacular. You’ve made huge steps forward in your renovations. It’s good to have staggered projects going so if you have to wait on some things you can make progress on others. The two of you are phenomenal🌞😃👍
Yes we are Melina and we know what the end result will be 😘Yes we totally agree and that is what happens in a Renovation you have lots of jobs on the go. Thank you Melina we re like the Lavender we will be planting xx
Hi Budo and Tracy its good to see all the new attachments you will be able to do so much more now and looking forward to seeing the lavender going in have a great weekend
Great purachase your tractor addittions. We have the same cultivator as you have and also a roller to equalize the pastures. We use the pasture mower attached to the tractor to keep the grass low since we have to live stock. Our chipper is most appreciated machinery. I mix woodchips to keep dry sandy soil moist. Great quick soil improvement.
Lovely machinery. Money well spent. That tiller was very impressive for the Lavender farm, agree with Tracy it is taking out so much of the hard work, same with the chipper, the ground works really starting to come together with the new driveway going in as well.
@@FrenchFarmhouseDiaries well you 2 inspire me, just wish I had my limb to make black gold & grow my own vegetables, nothing better than home grown fresh from the garden, I miss that, maybe after my hand transplant in raised beds 🙏🙏
@@kims2ndchance We have to say you are the one who is inspiring Kim you awesome determined and l am sure when you have your hand transplant that you will be growing in raised beds 🤗Xxx
I think you could actually build a log splitter. My dad's friend made one for him. It was a bar with a wedge at the end for splitting and at the other end he had put a motor which pushed the log down towards the wedge. My dad loved it. Edit: I always start typing before the video is over, I just wanted to say, I love the new machinery and I love how professional Budo is with everything. I love the safety tips. I am so glad you guys are cognizant of these things. It puts my mind at ease. Lesa, from Mount Montgner gave me such a scare when she was repairing a stone wall and a big stone fell near her head.
Great idea Luminya that's another tool needed especially when you have wood burners.so glad you did and yes he is. Yes you have to be ultra careful when using all tools Luminya. Yes l saw this gave me a fright as well 🤗
Hey Bonjour ... I have watched this a second time.... The section on "The Safety Aspect" is soooooo important. So many times over the years I have had to "speak to" users of equipment who have "nil points" for their own and others' safety. Having said that... A lot of UA-camrs use ladders and use no safety boots on a regular basis. Bob
Many people disparage rototillers as too hard on soil but they're ideal to loosen and bring up unwanted roots and rocks. The new 'box' is ideal to direct the chipper shoot into so you can neatly transport the chippings in one or two spots rather than small piles everywhere. On our small property we invested in a 7 ton electric wood splitter, quite cheap, and it's been a real workhorse to save our aging backs, especially if you figure a system that eliminates a lot of bending (as we did). With care, we can split 18" (45cm) logs. A small drive shed to protect those new implements would be ideal.
Yes it is we found this as well Cdngardengirl. This is something we will look into in the future to save our backs as well 🥰yes we are looking into keeping Tractor implements dry and secure 😘
Budo, Tracey. I did wonder sometime back when you gave an inkling of the amount of land "going under the plough" that you might need some extra "toys". The shear pin PTO couplers are a Godsend and the Rotovator will eclipse the dragharrow (best get it gone). The Massey is an interesting tool though. Someone will love bringing that back into work/fettle.. But, most of all love the box (adaptable) and chipper. Happy Days.... Bob (Weston super Mare) PS You and I could lean on our shovels for a while gassing over them tools.
The lavender fields are going to be so lovely. I love that scent. Will be so picturesque for everyone. It is true, one needs the proper equipment to be a farmer! So, are you calling yourselves Organic! Many people will be interested in your produce.
Hi Gaye thank you yes you are right you do need the right equipment well if you mean organic meaning no chemicals then yes, we are trying to see what will grow well in our area the best and using every thing we can that is organic or bio degradable even my black gold compost material I make comes from people we know who keep horses fully natural only natural medication they don't even shoe the horses also grass clippings from clean organic fields but advertising in the future as organic has been made so difficult by governments with many hurdles to cross and masses of money to invest in saying we are organic
Over here in North America or at least Canada……..the fields cannot have had any chemicals on them for seven years. They can then be called organic which is what many people want in their produce. But do pay more for!
Budo is an unusual name and I wondered if it is a nickname or a shortened version of a longer given name? Loving the content and you are both such inspirations to me.
Enjoyed every second of this video, what a fantastic addition to your kit, this will make short work of your outdoor projects for years to come. Cannot wait to see those lavender fields. On that note , you two need to get your act together and start building a gîte so I can come visit, I promise to lend a hand and do lots of baking 😂😉
Thank you VK you are welcome any time we had two of our patrons pop over today to see us lovely people and have bought a place not far from us as a holiday property lending a hand and baking sounds just fine 🥰😘
I've seen somebody uses the tiller for leveling paths. Mostly they did it to raise the gravel . Gravel goes down when you drive over it on the pathways and so they ' repaired'the driveways.
We are so happy for you getting your new equipment! I'm so excited for the lavender! Oh my goodness it will be gorgeous! We've been curious, and I keep forgetting to asking, but down by your current driveway, did that used to be an old building? Or was it a rock fence? Just curious 😊💕
Yes so are we to Happy camper it will be beautiful 🥰it was the original Bread oven all its missing is the roof ,doorway and lintel, and a good clear out in side. Hopefully in the future we will be doing a tour and a talk of the bread oven xx

You do need a log splitter. There are some terrific models. Anything that preserves your skeletal muscle frame is worth its weight in gold.
