I think it's because jared really pushed himself vocally in the studio then quickly realize that he couldn't do a consistent job at hitting every note in the song live. So he stopped screaming as much basically to preserve his voice for years instead of blowing it out every tour.
How i wish they still make this kind of music and wish Jared could still scream like that. Their new stuff is so different and one wouldn't think it came from this same band.

Now the crowd sings more often, songs (these heavy ;p) are often performed in acoustic version. and songs from "TSW" are calmer . I liked old 30STM, performances with "capricorn", "edge of the earth" or "the mission" :)

It’s been years and I STILL can not get over how flawless he sings in this live. It’s quite amazing.
