Hi I'm in Indiana and I was diagnosed with MGUS 18 mos. ago. I had a bone marrow biopsy to rule out Myeloma. The first recheck they did was at 6 mos. then when those labs were stable they let me go to a one year recheck. I just had that done a week ago and unfortunately my numbers were up and because of that I now must retest in 3 mos. in March. If my M spike is any higher I will have to have a repeat bone marrow biopsy. I'm praying that won't be necessary. I try not to freak out because I know the majority of people with MGUS will not develop cancer and I don't want to live in fear. It's hard I know, but hang in there and stay positive.

Hello Friend, thank you for the well wishes! I hope that all things are well with you and would be honored if you would keep in touch and let me know how things turn out? Until then (what I try to tell myself) live a regular life, be you and do all the things you would be doing. I hate doctors appointments as I mentioned before in some of my other vids, they tend to make me focus on the negative, so I really try to make an effort on being positive. Did you get your actual numbers for Free light chains, IgG normal, IgG myeloma and Free light chain ratio. Knowing these will allow you to understand clearly how you are progressing. Maybe we can help to reassure you.

Hopefully you have nothing in the future I would try flaxseed! Because I have protin in urin and it lowered it!
