Not surprised by results. They tested only strength against a group with nothing but time to train. Meanwhile military tends to be a bit more cardio heavy than strength. Although nothing can be taken away from the cons since they still performed great regardless of what people think about them.
Marines are tough and certainly capable in these challenges. *EXCEPT* pushups for a big reason. Ex cons spend such a long time in a small area. All you can do is workout to keep from going crazy. Generally speaking, pushups are probably the thing inmates do most during their bids.
Also the marine in the pushup challenge looked 6 inches taller than the ex-con. Which means he's heavier and has longer arms. So pushups are much more mechanically difficult for him. The ex-con won that one just because he's smaller. This one, and the "tug of war" were both ill conceived, but entertaining.
That punching one is rigged. The thing they are punching needs to be against a solid wall, not a swinging heavy bag that would drastically change the results
A punch always looks misleading though, think about george foremans punch and it just looks slow yet he is one of the most powerful punchers of all time. Then think of tyson and everyone thinks pure power which yeah he did have but his speed and technique was what really made him special. I've seen the heavyweights interviews saying foreman hitting you was like a boulder hitting you. So yeah an impressive looking punch doesn't equal power
Those Marines must not be doing much pushup training. In Special warfare in the Air Force, our entry level training started at 60 pushups in 2 minutes but we usually got around 70-75.
@@sagspirit1 What are you even saying? Incarceration is a part of the society we built. How would you choose to feed and house criminals? Also, as I said these people are no longer 'leeching'. Are you just against anybody that committed a crime in their past? What good is rehabilitation if you can't accept it?
They must all be on steroids!! The human body can't get that big without. You would think the Marines would be better at this type of competition. I had a friend in highschool who lifted weights he was 18 years old at the time and he could bench press 465 lbs!! He said he took steroids to be able to do that. One day a weight slipped on the bat and ruined his shoulder...no more weight lifting.
On the knuckle pushups are waaaaYyy harder than regular pushups. That’s why they’re nicknamed “marine pushups”
Theyre easier for us because our knuckles are so calloused from dragging them everywhere

React us marines vs fitness influencers who is stronger just recently drop
That tug of war match was a massive advantage to the marines just based on the traction of the boots vs regular sneakers.
Nikes usually have really good traction tho
@@im_cursed_huh9926 compared to combat boots? Have you ever worn boots? haha
@ nah I haven’t
Why didn't they do it bare foot?

Every time I’ve been to the gym well twice lol
I want to see them jailies doing marine bootcamp lol
Then you gotta have the marines doing a day in max security prison.

I agree, but I guess a potential hand injury wasn’t worth the UA-cam video. lol
@ true, but most of those are padded anyways and with gloves and wrist wraps they should’ve been completely fine. That’s what they are made for
61 push ups is pretty weak. I used to do 150. I haven’t worked out in 10 years and can still crank 40
When i was in the marines you only had to do 30 push ups to pass pt
Next challenge- who kills the enemy first
Knuckle pushups are better for your forearms
Next up, ex-white collar criminal cons vs ex-pedo cons.
So you're saying you guys are going to do a tug of war in a future video? 😂😂😂

Wym? have u ever heard of the marines? thats their whole shtick. they have the hardest basic training out of all branches just for regular infantry.
you also dont have huge muscles weighing you down and they dont make you powerlift 600 lbs
Cons bust push ups everywhere. Can't go to the yard? Push ups all day in your cell.
Not surprised they could easily beat service men in that regard
Pushups are harder the heavier you are. A 150lb marine could probably do 100 pushups easy.
Dont believe they were Marines."Marines" dont have long hair, a couple of the guys had hair that a Marine would not be allowed to have.
They're former marines.

People that contribute to society versus people who leech off of it!
Strength Cartel is a business that promotes strength training. It might not be saving orphans, but it's definitely not leeching.
@@Lightningrod75 so when they were locked up who was paying for it? The taxpayer. That’s leeching, not contributing!

Ofcourse they are including few of the Marines.
