❤️🇧🇷We fell in love with Brazil, and of course, its food after spending 3 months there. Although we tried many Brazilian food, there are many dishes that we have not tried yet. So we do plan to go back sometime this year. I think the first stop when we go back will be Minas Gerais for the best pão de queijo!👍😋❤️🇧🇷

Dude... If you go to Minas Gerais, be prepared to gain some weight, haha... That state is known as kind of a "grandma's house state" people make some of the best food and they ALLWAYS push you more and more food.
Also, people there are specially kind, calm, welcoming and sweet. Here in Brasil everybody allways says that "people from Minas are the best hosts". Well, brazilians are good hosts, but in Minas... Over the top!

Many Brazilians don't eat the weird meats in the feijoada. There is no shame in eating just the sausage, for example.
The important thing is that the meats are in the stew, so the typical Feijoada taste is there. But everyone can eat whatever they are comfortable with.
    Cheers

    • @WellingtonSBispo
      @WellingtonSBispo 2 роки тому +29

Your mom's pronunciation was very good for somebody who's never spoken or heard Portuguese before. We make pao de queijo with different types of cheese maybe the ones you had there were made with parmesan cheese which in my opinion are the best kind. Good coxinhas are hard to find even in Brazil. Next time try to find boneless feijoada, you'll ve able to enjoy the food without worrying about new textures

They reminds us of all the laughter and love around the table at home, with our family and friends. I hope our culinary will fill you with the same feeling of belonging and sunlight as you go around the world. Much love to your family.

Your mother is very lovely! ⚘ We are Brazilians but we live in Toronto and my daughter's boyfriend is Canadian, he drank two Guaraná litres 😅😅 he also really liked the BIS chocolate! ☺😋This video is very cool. Thank you for the affection you feel for our country, it's reciprocal! We love living here and are so grateful to Canadians...❤🥰😉🇨🇦🇧🇷

I’m impressed by how well Steve pronounces the word pão. Usually speakers of English struggle with the nasal tio “~” in Portuguese.

Feijoada have some parts of pork that people don’t usually eat, but isn’t that bad because is only feet, ears and tail, but only traditional feijoada have.
If you think about even sausage is kinda weird because the skin is made from pigs intestines, but I understand when we not used to a food we have a mental block.

I'm Brazilian and all this food is so familiar to me :) It's true that Brazilian food can be quite different to many other cultures! I love pao de queijo and this is what I missed the most when living abroad.

Hey man, as a Brazilian I found the video very interesting and I'm happy to see this cultural exchange.
I'd love to visit Canada one day (especially the Northern territories, since I'm extremely interested in the cultures of the Inuit people). Though of course, there are other regions that interest me. And I want to try Canadian food for sure! :)
PS: In the 2000s, they aired a ton of Canadian shows and cartoons here! I grew up watching them.

Excellent video! I saved the location, so I can see it in person in the future when I'm visiting the city of Toronto.
