Kanata used the same overtake technique used by Tachi Tomoyuki (Disappearing Line) by taking the advantage blind angle of Kakeru as he focused so much on the inside, he didn't see on outside line.
Nope ... the technique Tachi Tomoyuki utilizes in the Initial D 4th stage gives him a blindness line, an advantage provided by S-shaped curve. As for this usual curve, Kanata, he utilizes the slip angles provided by making a sudden sharp swerve into the inner end of the curve to cause a strong lateral force for making slip angles for the front tires, and that helps him swerve to the outer lane so fast like a lightning without suffering under steer, as this move makes the driver of the red Alpha Romeo as stunned as her brother riding the Lotus.
The other thing I noticed right away is that even the background sound/music kind of is a reference to the Tomoyuki race, where it kind of goes silent with heartbeat-like sounds before the maneuver is pulled off at which point the eurobeat kicks in. There is also background music from 0:48 to the 1:00 mark that sounds eerily similar to some background music/sounds from Fourth or Fifth Stage - can't pin down which, but I am certain I've heard that music before in Initial D.
@@sandiegomathewp.7456 I think he knows that too MFG just races during the day but the fog technique is close to blind attack I mean hell they can't see him until it's too late ask Jackson Taylor and Hanninen😁
My interpretation of this is; - Cutting in more, which closes the gap and allows for a better exit. - Accelerating, which also closes the gap and forces the car towards the outside. - Reducing steering input, improving acceleration and also forcing the car to the outside. All 3 add up to put the 86 next to the Lotus, with a better exit speed. It would have to be timed perfectly, one slip up and you'll go off the road or into the car Infront. That's just my thoughts.
Not exactly. The key part is taking the outside line aggressively without losing the car. By taking the outside line aggressively, he places the 86 next to the Lotus in the first left hander. This forces the Lotus to stay tucked in on the inside to avoid collision, compromising his corner exit, allowing the 86 to stay side by side and sets up for next right hander with the 86 already on the inside.
That's because it has the same concept of attacking the dead angle of vision of the opponent. The only difference is that Takumi used his during the night, mixed with turning the light off of his maximus to confuse the opponent and take the lead from the outside. While Kanata just shifted his car to the side, of the dead angle of vision of the opponent and while he is confused he shifted back fast a takes the lead from the outside.
@@AlfaPro1337 Thanks for clarifying, but I already knew that too, I was just referring to the use of the dead angle of vision as the same concept that Takumi uses, not the technique in itself. I know that Tachi Tomoyuki is the one that uses the Disappearing Line technique.
