Hey Dan, sorry for all of the questions but I live in a neighborhood north of Austin where most of the houses are either natural stone or stone and siding. Have you ever used your SH and dawn solution on natural stone homes? Is it safe or will it leave marks on the stone?
When I first used this surface cleaner it was a struggle to keep flat and then I figured out how to work with it rather than against it and now it’s super easy you might even be able to see at most times I only have two fingers holding the wand and my other hand squeezing the trigger. As far as the red ones at Home Depot, I tore through three of them in one day with my 4 gallons per minute pressure washer. Purely designed for very low powered units.
Dan the man I appreciate your channel so much! you have helped me and im sure many others who are starting out Pressure washing and are not looking to Join the Big Leagues but be the Neighborhood friendly Guy to do jobs on weekends. I have one question are you using your own Water supply or the costumers? in this video Thanks.
What State is this $300 is incredible we have an industrial cold water unit and I could send out one of my workers and clean up at these rates chit thanks for the heads up, I think we have been missing some revenue by not doing flat work.
What would be the advantage of using this type of pressure washer attachment compared to just using the pressurized water to spray away all the dirt and grime?
The challenge I have with some of the driveways in my neighborhood (including mine) is slightly concave, so it pools water. Have had to spend extra time with broom to sweep away the massive puddle that accumulates. Can you please do a vid discussing this? Greatly appreciate it.
Great video Dan, but me personally i always pre-treat, and post-treat when doing flat work, for a few reasons, i feel its easier to clean, it looks better when cleaned, and it stays looking clean longer down the road... But to each their own, keep up the good work.
Ya I get that. Lots of folks pretreat. I smell one guys treatment from down the road. He uses a bit of acid. I don't see a difference in his work or my work. He moves a bit quicker but he has a 24 inch cleaner and a huge pump. If he gets caught letting the rinse/run off with chems go down the drains, he will be out of business. To each his own, for sure. Be careful
.20 cents per sqft is about what I typically charge on big jobs. Stuff like this I just market in what you’re working with or how long it will take you. They definitely got a deal for a $100. But hey.. 100 is 100. Looks good!
I bought a house and previous owners kept their dog inside the garage. Now the garage smells like wet dog, urine, and feces. I swept the entire garage and disposed of everything and poured hot water, Clorox, Lysol mop, and fabuloso on the concrete and let it sit there but the smell won't go away. I did rinse it and did multiple applications with smell still there. I don't have any pets but if I did I would never let them do their business inside the garage or house. I am thinking of pressure washing with that tool but don't want to spend the money if its not going to work. Do you have experience in removing odors from concrete using the tool? I also found a video on how to remove odors from concrete using combination of enzymes and live bacteria but you need to know the target areas on where the animal urinated and the concrete is sloped so the urine must of travel. Almost the entire concrete slab is stained so I can't tell where to apply the chemical.
Hey Dan, great videos. Is your pressure washer on full throttle as you do this, and also would it clean less if you used a 16-18” surface cleaner? I have a belt driven 4K psi with a 16” surface cleaner and for some reason it doesn’t seem to clean as well as yours.
PSI is not what cleans... GPM’s is what cleans. Rule of thumb is for every 4 inch of surface cleaner you need 1 GPM. You need a 4 GPM pump minimum for a 16 inch cleaner. If you are good on that, check the tips, they may be clogged. Yes I am always full throttle
Great vid as always bro i appreciate it. Lol made me laugh when you mentioned your fly down. Even funnier thinking you were out there doing a job like that
How much pressure do you use while using that surface cleaner Dan? I have one and I can barely hold mine down to wash when I turn my pressure washer wide open it wants to fly like a helicopter 😂🤣 it definitely works better and alot faster than just using the wand and green/yellow tips.
Hey Dan! I was wondering if the attachment is really more useful than just the gun? It seems to me that you could get it done faster without the attachment since you’re going over the driveway again with the gun.
I am not going over it in a slow cleaning motion, I am quickly just rinsing the driveway. If I did not use the surface cleaner I would be very slowly moving along with the wand alone.
@Dan's Vlog, I know this is an older video, but on the next driveway surface clean you do like this, can you add some dry "before" and dry "after" pictures into the video. I think it would be a nice addition to show what the difference is after it dries.
Hey Dan. Great Video and yes very relaxing and Amazing work!! Which mix did you use? New to the business of power washing but will def be looking into getting one of these. I currently have a 7gpm pump.
Dan's Vlog Thanks for the response. Must Of missed that part. WOW that surface cleaner works AMAZING!! As I mentioned earlier I’m new to to the game. Do you know if my Northern Tool 7gpm 12v Pump would work with this? Thanks again
How do you remove oil stains from the Driveway? Because of your Videos Ive purchased a 3800 psi Power Boss Pressure Washer and have done a few jobs with it. Would a Concrete sealant prevent tire marks on the Concrete?
Does the WhirlAWay stay on the ground by it's self? I just upgraded to a 4 gpm machine(my CAT pump lost a rod cap), and I can't keep the 14" Briggs & Stratton surface cleaner on the ground at anything above idle, it wants to take flight. At idle the 4 gpm machine runs the B&S better than my 3 gpm machine ran it at 3/4 throttle.
Hey Dan, I'm trying to get my truck set up with some hose reels. I've got the high pressure hose reel, but I'm having trouble finding one for my supply hose. I'm using 150' of 5/8" and need a reel that can house the hose, but also be compact, strong and hand cranked as to keep the cost down. What "supply" hose reel are you using? Any light you can shed would be great. Thanks!
You may want to use no longer than 50 ft hose or 100 at most on any size reel. Reason being, Garden hoses are soft, especially in the heat. Any chance to constrict the hose-flow by wrapping it up on a reel is going to be catastrophic to your pump. Even if you slowly and methodically roll it up and you think it is perfect, the continued wrapping will be tightening on the initial few wraps and boom! There goes your pump. Having a fresh water reel is really not needed and should be mostly unwound whenever the pump is on
I am not trying to seem rude in any way I just have a few questions. How is this possibly worth $100 an hour? Also, Who is paying for the water? You, or the homeowner?
It’s a fair question. If the homeowner wants to clean their own driveway, they certainly can. They can rent a machine and purchase fuel for around $70 for 1/2 a day and stand there with just the tip of the wand and use up 4 or 5 hours of their day. They can rent a surface cleaner and speed things along for an additional $25-$30 dollars. There is around $100 out of pocket and they have to do the work. A company like me can come in and tell them I can do it for that $100 instead and they can go to the beach! It takes around 1 hour to get this done with the small surface cleaner you see here. Others have 24 in cleaners and can do this work in 20 minutes. They would and should still charge the $100 cause they invested in the equipment and fuel and travel time etc. The client pays for the water but rest assured, pressure washers do not use a lot of water. They appear to but actually, the hole is so small barely any water comes out but what does come out comes out with tremendous pressure. PW’s use 80% less water than a garden hose free flowing. Hope this helps explain things.
@@DansVlog thank you for responding I enjoy your vlogs. I'm fixing to spray a house with the 10% bleach and dawn mixture I just have to get me a backpack sprayer do you have any recommendations. I really dig the one you had the white 1 with the pump lever. That vinyl siding looked great after you sprayed it down.
Thank you for the video. May I ask what pressure washer you are using? I am waiting for my Simpson that i ordered, with 3200 PSI and 2.5 GFM, so I am hoping mine will be suitable enough for my driveway. I also ordered a surface cleaner.
Is there a product that prevents the Concrete in the Driveway from getting marked up by the Vehicle Tires after the Driveway Concrete has been cleaned? There are several Pressure washing Videos on UA-cam, yours has been my guide, I bought the Whirl away after watching your Videos and a 3800 psi Power Boss Pressure Washer, now I have a Trailer and a 275 Gallon Water Tank.
I think $100 would be a good start if you start doing the business; i recently started did 3 jobs in one day, 4 days, thats $1600 total; i scheduled my work to start 2 weeks after getting my equipment with quite a few leads so that way in case any cancelled, i still was able to work, so far loving it
Great video Dan I personally use a landa surface cleaner a little heavier than that one. About 2500 dollars. Naturally I didnt pay that much😉. And than my pressure washer puts out 4.5 gallons a minute 4200 psi.
Is there any kind of water pump machine designed to remove excess water from the floor after pressure washing? I have to pressure wash indoors where there is no drain.
Hey dan, i hope this reaches you. I want to know approximately how many gallons of water that job took? Really really enjoyed the video. Keep it my man 💪
That driveway looks great...Good Job! However, this particular attachment is not getting good reviews on Amazon. Same complaints about the same problem with the arm stops rotating.
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think stamped patio is painted? In that case, my bleach recipe and a garden hose is all you need cause the surface will be pretty smooth. However, if I am mistaken and the surface is porous like normal concrete but tinted or died, then the surface cleaner should work just fine. Bleach doesn't seem to work well on porous concrete (pressure is needed). Move along quickly and all should be fine. Would I use the tool on stamped concrete that is painted, died or tinted?? Yes but I would use caution.
Would you consider this pressure washer too powerful for wood surfaces? Mine was 3100 psi and if I'm not careful I can leave circle lines with my 14in. surface cleaner.
I am not sure what you mean by circles. Are you saying the pressure washer is cutting into the woods or are you saying you’re leaving dirty tiger stripes? If you’re leaving tiger stripes you need to slow down, move slower and make sure your tips are clean.
@@DansVlog I have a Briggs n Stratton 14in surface cleaner and when cleaning decks if I don't keep it moving it will leave a clear circle pattern in the wood. My pressure washer does this and its 3100 psi. I'm looking at getting a new one and am concerned that if I get one at 4000 psi it will shred wood surfaces.
I get what you’re saying but I’ve done wood and I didn’t have a problem but maybe I was moving fast and didn’t allow time for the pressure to negatively affect the wood

Cracking job Dan and you Certainly have a powerful water pressure from the mains when using just the hosepipe. It always makes me chuckle watching your videos from your road as it seems you live in a ghost town as there's very rarely anybody about!
EVERYONE IS AT WORK! We are middle class!! lol I don't mean to mislead anyone. I was definetely using my pressure washer for this video. It is out of sight and out of audio range being next door in my garage. I did mention that in the video at the beginning.
Your never misleading Dan I would say you're the most honest guy I've ever watched and I was beginning to wonder if it was another of your 7:30am Sunday starts which would have explained why it was so quiet.
Looks a 100× better!
Yes it does!
That garage door looks horrible in contrast.
That was fantastic. The before and after...WOW!
Thank you
Be careful about spraying over the hose, it can really damage it. Great video though!
Thank you
No it won’t

I started pressure washing my driveway 2 years ago. The first time it came clean like this video. I realized that it gets dirty faster since I started pressure washing it. I looked into sealing it but I rent and I am not spending that much on someone else's concrete.
I wonder if it was sealed in the first place and maybe you just notice your work getting dirty faster cause you don't want to clean it again?!?!?! lolol
@@DansVlog Ha! no, it doesn't come as clean now as the first few times I cleaned it. Same type of dirt but don't wash away
Thanks Dan!! You just SAVED me a lot of Moolah... I'm new in the PW biz and I'll be surface washing a car sales lot next week, (not too big) for a friend. I quoted him $100 just for the exposure and referrals. I would have gone in the hole on HS costs alone. Needless to say, NO HS for my friend's car lot. BTW, I've been subscribed and watching your vids for a couple of months now. Keep up the GREAT content!!!

Hey Dan, sorry for all of the questions but I live in a neighborhood north of Austin where most of the houses are either natural stone or stone and siding. Have you ever used your SH and dawn solution on natural stone homes? Is it safe or will it leave marks on the stone?
Looks like a struggle to keep that thing flat! One at home Depot is centered and super easy to keep flat
@@DansVlog How strong is your washer? Would those red one work for like a 3,000psi ?
About to say the same thing these little ones a trash and the barring burn out after one driveway at 1500 psi
Home Depot has similar surface cleaner attachment called EZ clean for $70. works great with 1900 psi electric power washer.
Ya I destroyed 2 or 3 of them in one day with my 4gpm pump. The Briggs and Stratton lasted a year. This BE is commercial grade, should last a lifetime
Dan's Vlog is that the same one on amazon? The one in the link had bad reviews
Why am I watching this🤔
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Do you ever think about getting a wider surface cleaner?
No cause my pump is 4 gallons per minute. 16 inch is the largest my pump can effectively and efficiently pair with
Don’t laugh but my wife paid a guy $100 to clean an oil leak (transmission) from my truck. Then I had a ( rear end seal) leak a month later. 😂
Dan the man I appreciate your channel so much! you have helped me and im sure many others who are starting out Pressure washing and are not looking to Join the Big Leagues but be the Neighborhood friendly Guy to do jobs on weekends. What State is this $300 is incredible we have an industrial cold water unit and I could send out one of my workers and clean up at these rates chit thanks for the heads up, I think we have been missing some revenue by not doing flat work.
Hey Dan would you recommend a dual turbo nozzle setup up for concrete driveways or stick to the surface cleaner, I have a Simpson alh4240 4.0gpm
I never used a turbo nozzle but I really like the surface cleaner.
What would be the advantage of using this type of pressure washer attachment compared to just using the pressurized water to spray away all the dirt and grime?
Time and less chance of striping
Dan what hose do U use in the PRESSURE WASHING video , it seems not to kink or twist up ?
I link to it in the description.
Hey Dan I saw in your list of power wash equipment a electric power washer did you start out with that one
What kind of machine do you used ? It can’t see in the video on only that yellow tool ?
ua-cam.com/video/ckGPDNPifKM/v-deo.html
Will a 1900 psi pressure washer work for this also ? With similar results?
But hey.. 100 is 100. Looks good!
Thank you
@@DansVlog great deal on that one I do 2 car driveways for 100$
I bought a house and previous owners kept their dog inside the garage.
Great work Dan you videos are very interesting I start doing power washer and you videos help me big time God bless you friend keep it up
Dan, is this a hot/cold pressure wash? What size washer are you using in this video? Thank you. JR
4gpm and cold
Great vid as always bro i appreciate it. Lol made me laugh when you mentioned your fly down. Even funnier thinking you were out there doing a job like that
How much pressure do you use while using that surface cleaner Dan? I have one and I can barely hold mine down to wash when I turn my pressure washer wide open it wants to fly like a helicopter 😂🤣 it definitely works better and alot faster than just using the wand and green/yellow tips.
Just did this to my driveway and made the house look so much cleaner. But yeah $100 for that driveway was cheap.
Jonathan You mean I gave my very long time customer and senior citizen and neighbor and friend a really good deal? Yeah, it was cheap.
Tyler G I have a shit ton of videos that show that in my pressure wash business playlist
Hey Dan. Great Video and yes very relaxing and Amazing work!! Which mix did you use? New to the business of power washing but will def be looking into getting one of these. I currently have a 7gpm pump.

Hi Dan I used the EZ clean today on my church's sidewalks it worked well...about a three hour job though.
Sweet!
How do you remove oil stains from the Driveway? Because of your Videos Ive purchased a 3800 psi Power Boss Pressure Washer and have done a few jobs with it. Would a Concrete sealant prevent tire marks on the Concrete?
Nice job ,typically how much water will it take to do a job that size.
I was hoping your neighbor would ask you to pressure was her driveway! Looks great!
She actually paid for it a while back. I have been delaying this for time to video and edit. Totally my fault lol
Having a fresh water reel is really not needed and should be mostly unwound whenever the pump is on
Dan's Vlog Thanks for the info! I will do that. I'd like to get a nice heavy duty reel. What type of reel are you using?
Roughly how many gallons of water did this take you to do?
After seen the result I am looking for the presure washer and the attatchment and want to start on bussines
Well that’s great!!
That's so satisfying to watch lol. The dirt and grime to clean instantly
What is the psi on the attachment at?

@@DansVlog thank you for responding I enjoy your vlogs. I'm fixing to spray a house with the 10% bleach and dawn mixture I just have to get me a backpack sprayer do you have any recommendations. Hi friend how many hours do you get from a tank of gas
Thank you for the video. May I ask what pressure washer you are using? I am waiting for my Simpson that i ordered, with 3200 PSI and 2.5 GFM, so I am hoping mine will be suitable enough for my driveway. I also ordered a surface cleaner.
Louis Dorato Are use a Honda engine with an AR pump at 4 gallons per minute and 4000 PSI, your system will be fine for doing your driveway.

I think $100 would be a good start if you start doing the business; i recently started did 3 jobs in one day, 4 days, thats $1600 total; i scheduled my work to start 2 weeks after getting my equipment with quite a few leads so that way in case any cancelled, i still was able to work, so far loving it
Good job Joe
As you do a section, should you rinse off that area with a wand tip (i.e. green) before cleaning the next section?
Not required, as long as you do a final rinse tip to bottom it will all rinse clean
Solid sir solid! Thanks for the guidance here on UA-cam!
Thank you and you're welcome
Do you bring your water source? Do you hook up to customers outdoor water source?
Great video Dan I personally use a landa surface cleaner a little heavier than that one. About 2500 dollars. Naturally I didnt pay that much😉. And than my pressure washer puts out 4.5 gallons a minute 4200 psi.
Good job. Youngsters would have never rinsed the driveway after the job. Attention to detail makes all the difference.

I did them after the video. Just want to demonstrate what can be done chemical free in just 1 hour.

Hello Dan. When you finish power washing a driveway, do you seal the driveway with a sealer?
No
That driveway looks great...Good Job! However, this particular attachment is not getting good reviews on Amazon. Same complaints about the same problem with the arm stops rotating.
Cool. I have no problems so far
Bic D one cant review product on Amazon without some bad review(s). It’s caveat emptor. Good job on the driveway.
What psi is your pressure washer & where can I get that yellow attachment?
4GPM and I link to the tool in my video descriptions
What kind of surface cleaner is that
I have a stamped patio. Will this take off the color? Thanks I really enjoy your teaching.
Great video Question what size is the washer
@@DansVlog Thank you.
