Personally I'm really liking the new series. When you accept that Gen Q is a separate show it's easy to sit back and enjoy.

I love Finley! At first I thought she was going to be exactly how Shane used to be but she is the complete opposite. Lol she is funny and socially awkward with women which I can completely relate to.

It's great, it makes it very relatable
Shane is also kinda sorta religious (Catholic). There's that whole thing in Season 2 when she went to church for confession, and she also wore a cross around her neck sometimes I think. But yeah, they didn't bring it up that often.
During interviews the cast said Finely grew up in a very religious household so she’s really struggling with her sexuality. I’m really excited to see this come to life. So many of us can relate to these feelings.

Is it me or anyone else wants to see bette and dani together....these two have so much chemistry between them,than the actual couple on the show.
sana khan well.... i think Dani and Sophie got married so soon . Now there will be no possibilities and no challenges we as fans don’t like seeing them separating or cheating on each other .they could have given them more time may be even they get to meet each other as the series start.

I love Finley’s character. I think there’s a ton of opportunity for growth. Dani character is also intriguing to me. But I do not care about her fiancé. And the girl playing Alice’s girlfriend is not a good actress. Like I don’t buy her and Alice as a couple at all. Now her ex-wife did great in the last episode
Agreed..And I didn't care for the hugely populated "Engagement " party. The newly engaged were acting like total strangers which was weird...the whole scene was way too much . An argument about not knowing about a job change is real but why so angry and distant. She acted as if it "triggered" a huge issue..? Didn't make any sense. Finding I only care about Bette's character..actually the 3 main.

I don't mind Sophie, but I don't really get who she is yet apart from her relationship with Dani, who I'm also very intrigued by. Finley is so charming, I like her a lot. I also dislike Alice's girlfriend and that whole forced relationship, they have no chemistry and the setup itself doesn't feel real. It's clearly not what Alice wants, AT ALL. Man, will it be a dramatic break-up when it finally happens.
Right?? I thought I was the only one not liking Alice's gf, her ex wife- is a different story! I wouldn't mind her on the screen haha

If i had to compare this series to the original I give the original a hundred thumbs up then again it's just coming up to the third episode..I hope it gets a lot better than it has been. I mean it doesn't suck as I thought it would.. but it's not the best like the original
Shane (Kate Moehnig) had mentioned in an interview to hang on till episode 4. I'm guessing a major character comeback will occur.

I think Finley was sent to a conversion therapy and that's why she has trauma and family issues (secrets not reveal yet).
I really want to support this show but the new characters are not hugely engaging / interesting. Hopefully will get better.

The L Word's first season and most of the second were great. So far with Generation Q its light and it's not bad. I thought that Finley was another Shane but I am glad that they did not make clones of the original characters.

I’m watching this show only because of Alice and I’ve never been a fan of Alice before which means it’s really messed up 😔 There’s not a single interesting and attractive character like Jenny, Marina, Dana on this show 😢

If they are going to make religion a thing, I hope they have some atheists in the show as well. I really want a relatable character who openly says they are atheist. We want representation!
I think that in an effort to be all inclusive and politically conscious, this show is going to end up being rubbish. The original is 100 times better, it captured your attention from episode one. I hope this one gets better. Also the new characters are not in the least bit attractive! ughh! And what is up with the wardrobe department?! Like come on step it up people!
I completely agree with you. I loved the L word from episode one. Those characters all had amazing chemistry. This series lacks the depth the original L word had. Its not really fair to compare them but the original is a million times better in every way than this new series.
