This is very timely for me. I currently live in northern California and have thought about moving to the low country in a couple years. Last week I found out I'm being non-renewed by State Farm after no claims and paying on time for nearly 30 years. I've spent the past week trying to find insurance to no avail. California has a last resort "fair plan" that can't provide me enough coverage. This has accelerated my decision to move, but I don't want to set my sites on Beaufort county if I'm going to have the same problems obtaining insurance there.
The best thing to do is call Belmont Insurance Service and chat with them. They are very good. Thanks for watching!

We are seriously considering buying a place on HHI or Bluffton in the near future. However, one of our biggest concerns is insurance. With our home in Ocean City, NJ the homeowners insurance has doubled in the last 5 years and the flood insurance has tripled.
I realize that. I am in the game of sale, but the right thing to do is inform our buyers.
