This resonates with me on a level even I don't fully comprehend. Brendan Fraser needs to be free to explore all roles, and give the world of art every aspect of himself that he can. His wife destroyed a gentle soul, and this role has given him a depth that no Brando or Olivier can never touch.

Wow. I don't remember the last time I saw an actor display such genuine love and understanding for the character they're portraying in a comic book adaptation.
It's amazing, isn't it? To see actors who care so much about who they are portraying.

Brendan Fraser is a special and unique actor .I like watching his films interviews.His character analysis is great and profound and he’s super funny and cute .I’ve been a fan since I watched The Mummy 1999 film where he plays Rick O’Connell and I like all other works he has been in .

Fraser is such an amazing person, he seems very thoughtful and emotionally mature. I feel bad for what happened to his career but hope to see more of him in movies going forward.
iFone Fan He was sexually assaulted by a high executive when he was young... That was kind of a tipping point for him, according to an interview I read of him. I’m so happy he was able to get to keep on doing something he loves feeling good while doing it.
@@2doge I know it makes me sad when people think he was just stopped being casted for his looks or whatever...when it was so much deeper than that...he struggled with that assault so much and Hollywood failed him. I am so happy to see him get back into acting. He is amazing

He’s the only Hollywood sweetheart in my eyes he used to ironically be my favorite actor because of the mummy movies but the irony wore off and now I just love him for how genuine n normal he is

It’s his first major role since he took a break from the industry. Brendan thought he would never get a chance in the industry again and that no one would give him a chance. Then he got this amazing opportunity. Humble is an understatement.

I feel like for me the reason Robotman /Cliff Steele works so well is because of how the character is almost a direct reflection of Fraser himself and Also is the redemption of Brendan Fraser himself so this role probably feels personal to him in a sense.

Brendon Fraser is a cool dude, always been a fan of his, even if some of his projects previously have been more miss than hit. I hope that this is the just the beginning for him.
Oh and Doom Patrol is by far the best comic book adaptation I've seen so far, and I cannot wait for season 2
Love love love Brendan Fraser. Really nice to see him on screen again. Love Doom Patrol! The show is silly, unique, fun, but most importantly it has heart. The casting is perfect.
He's so thoughtful and invested in this character. You can just hear the love and passion in his voice for acting and the power of storytelling to reach people. He's been phenomenal on Doom Patrol.

@The Last Laugh is this what you think about every actor? Just because they don’t get as many roles as they used to doesn’t mean they aren’t ever gonna stop loving to act. He genuinely is a good actor who genuinely loves what he does.

His soft spoken way of interviewing is so refreashing!
Not very many people can give such emotion to a character that literally cannot make any sort of facial expressions. To me that's the hardest thing to do as a Voice Actor and only a handful of dub actors and actresses can pull it off.
Brendan has officially made it into the very top of those ranks bc of his performance as Robotman.
Please bring swamp thing to this show...a crossover or 1 season with him would be awed
Thank you (and everyone) for making this show such a faithful interpretation of the comic. Its wonderful and BF is a huge part of that.
I like the show. A lot. But I'm not so sure it's a "faithful interpretation". Back in 1963, when the comic came out, there were no homosexual or Trans storylines. Those are the only problems I have with the show. The "update" of the source material to include those storylines.

Let's be real Doom Patrol saved this man's career. Prior to this he was basically black listed from Hollywood for various of reasons and with him being such a talented actor it was a shame. It's obvious he has a passion and talent at acting and bringing characters to life. I remember his roles in the Mummy, Monkey Bone, Encino Man, George of the Jungle and so many more being amazing especially the comedy ones. I'm just happy he finally gets to act and share his talent again. I hope this opens new doors for him to get back into Hollywood movies cause prior to this I think last one he was in was around 2008.
The best thing of thw collab they do is the fact that they act like one person...you feel the emotions of both in one character

Fraser was fantastic casting. If they asked me (before the show) who I thought should play Robotman it'd never have occurred to me, but once you see him play it it's difficult to imagine anybody else, they ARE the same character and ass so much personality that enriches not just this version, but the comic book version as well.
This is without a doubt our favorite show of all time in our house

Glad Brendan is back. Time passes, we mere humans age differently. He looks better than some 80 actors I've seen pictures. He is still a great actor.
After realizing about the things he went through in the past decade, I can't help but feel sorry for him. Somehow, I have to find the late interviews of him to make sure he is alright. Yeah, it is weird of me, but the guy really deserves a career comeback and happiness.

I've heard so many interviews with actors talking about their characters, but rarely do they sound as sincere and connected to the material as Brendan Fraser does in this video. I've seen the first few episodes of this show and have really enjoyed it, and I'm glad to see such love is being put into it; I look forward to returning to it soon.
Love the cast of this show. Very well put together.
The most successful thing about the adaptation is that it continues the tradition from the comics of succeeding where X-Men ultimately failed: it presents super-powered people as troubled outcasts struggling to find their places in society and the world around them. It's nice to see Fraser really understands that this is the core of the show.

For all of the Brendan Frasier fans...let's hear from all of you that saw him in the 2006 flick, Journey to the End of Night!! In my opinion, that was Frasier at his BEST! I dont believe that anybody saw what he was TRULY capable of doing until that role. In that role he was able to delve into and show his acting "chops"! No, the movie wasnt great, but his acting in the movie was!!
