Touchpad Not Working in Linux | Fix unresponsive touchpad (Ubuntu | Debian)

- This is going to be a quick short video about a very common problem, and that problem is the touchpad, or what many people also call a trackpad suddenly stops functioning despite your keyboard working just fine. In my case this mostly happens after I resume my system from suspension or when I wake my computer from hibernation. But this phenomena also occurs for no reason at all in many cases. This video was recorded n Ubuntu Linux, but the fix should work for all distros out there. This video looks at a simple yet effective and reliable way of fixing an unresponsive touchpad.

Try Alt + fn + f2 (by fn I mean the function key).
@@omairtech6711 the comand box appears but the problem still persists
@@IITST Just to be sure, did you type "r" in the box and hit the enter key?
@@omairtech6711 yes
@@IITST I would install all the drivers for my laptop and/or try to boot into any other OS to rule out hardware defects. In case of hardware defects, unfortunately, the only option is to get it physically checked out by a certified hardware professional.
Edit: It would also be a good idea to update your system using sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade.
Bruh I’m trying this on chrome book 😂
😂
Yo did you fix it?
How high were you brooooo
@@hexachromatic I wasn't high; I legitimately installed Linux on chromebook.
