To continue eastbound on I-84, you'll need follow I-80 for awhile; 1500 miles or so, to I-81, then north to the I-81/84/380 interchange just outside Scranton, PA. It's only a small detour. This was originally two-lane US 30S, then widened to I-80N before being re-designated I-84. There just aren't enough east-west mainline designations that far north. And it is a gorgeous drive.
