IMHO the 229 SAO just makes more sense. The price difference is just too great between the two for such similar guns.
The creep before the wall in the P229 provides a margin of safety. No practical difference in triggers. I CCW the p229. The P229 also has a much more extensive track record of reliability.
I have the SIG 229 legion and absolutely love it.

QQ: what holster are you rocking for the SS Legion P229? Particularly for the gun belt.
I really wanted a 2011 but couldn't justify the price when I tried the sig. I am about to send mine to the sig armorer to improve the already excellent trigger! I have to believe this gun can hang with the best of them after the sig armorer treatment.

Trust me just stick with the p226
If you put the x5 gas pedal on the sig it’s awesome. I have the P226 Legion and the X5 takedown lever made it perfect. Perfect except for the suppressor fouling the rdo and that 1/4 take up before the wall on the trigger.
You can get a greyguns adjustable trigger and get that quarter in creep to zero my friend. And reset with the srt in it. Can be almost nothing. I love mine. 229 dasa legion
I always say the 226/229 SAOs are the best GTW/Carry 2011s. No muss no fuss. Love the Staccato but the legions win for me
Sig legion is the way to go! 💯
I prefer the elite enhanced p229 a little better then the legion but I love the legion as well
The finish on my P229 Legion SAO sucks. My understanding is PVD is used on the latest units

imagine having to defend yourself with a 3k pistol , just to have the local cops keep it for years after..i have been waiting on my pistol to be returned for 7 years now.."they lost it"
My buddy had German Luger from WW 2 his grandfather gave him. Cops "lost" it.
Honestly searched for this comparrison having a regular 229 da/sa and a full size 1911. I had no idea the 2011 mag costs. Thats crazy. I though sig was high. Ffs
Love my 229. Cain't see spending the money on the CS. I'm sure it's a great pistol, but like women they all look good when you need them.
I like my C2 better than the CS because of my hand size. I got my C2 when prices were better. I have the P229 Legion SAO. I rather buy another P229 Legion SAO for the price that the CS is now.
Between the C2 and the 229 legion, which would you carry more?

Sold the p229 the recoil was just too much and I shot better with my p365Xl
Someone can buy the Sig, a better optic, holster and several cases of ammo compared the Stacatto
