1968 Firstman Mosrite 65

Today, Lawman Guitars is Presenting..
A really cool and rare Made in Japan Guitar. Its a 1968 Mosrite Model 65 with the Moseley Tailpiece and Mosrite Pickups..
These guitars were an early reissue of the 1965 Ventures Model. Ventures is clearly omitted from the headstock as there was a breakup of The Ventures and Mosrite that took awhile to be resolved. We dated this guitar from that headstock ommision, the early Japan tuners and knowledge from our Japan Guitar expert!
This guitar just got back from our Tech with a new set of 10 gauge Dr Ducks Strings. He has it playing great with nice low action on the neck. These guitars do not have the super skinny frets like the USA models did. They are a little larger which aid in bending notes. I like these frets and they still have plenty of life in them.
The guitar has a 24 1/2 inch scale neck and the nut measures a narrower 1 5/8 inches. Nice skinny neck profile we all reconize as Mosrite. The guitar is very solid. It weighs 9 lbs 14 ozs. Not a lightweight guitar!
The guitar was played...a lot... there is some finger divoting in the upper few frets that don't affect play at all. It has some bangs and scrapes. The worse is shown in pics 6 and 7. Otherwise, the Candy Apple Red Finish is just beautiful. The pickguard is in great shape with no cracks and the guitar is all original! Love the Moseley Tailpiece. The Vibrato even keeps the guitar in tune...mostly.. It's not designed for dive bombing. Be aware!
The Truss rod works as it should and the guitar sounds great. Just like the Mosrites we all remember! The Mosrite Pickups are full and strong. Playing that bridge pickup will have you sounding just like the Ventures on Pipeline!!
We didn't get the original case with it so we are including the shown Brand New Hard Shell Case. It fits the guitar great and will protect your cool Mosrite for years to come.
