Even though my body feels familiar with everything you explained, you nailed it giving all these a name. I'm starting a channel to teach fingerboarding in my homecountry (Nicaragua). The channel is in Spanish tough. I will definitely use this in future lessons, of course, I will acknowledge your insight here.

You just gained a follower, super fresh outlook on fingerboarding. I’ve just started, got my Ollie down, getting there with the kickflip and this whole different approach that you’ve explained makes total sense, thanks bro I’m gonna binge watch your channel now with a jack D and coke 😊
This is a really cool presentation of advanced ideas for fingerboarding. I haven't really thought of all these things in the same way. I will break down tricks for late tricks but for basic tricks like kickflips, I have just naturally developed a default number of ways to do it.
Same with me to be honest - it wasn't until I was writing on FBWeekly that I started to think about why I do tricks the way I do! Another thing I dug into was whether there are techniques that can be employed to "hack" tricks. Denny Politan had a tutorial on the "Denny Politan" where he described the grab part as simply making a fist, and it was a simple, yet effective description. There's a handful of other similar "hacks" that I can share on future videos too!
yet again not only a quality video but a very helpful one at that! thank you for the time and effort you put into this content as for i think i speak for most us when i say we appreciate you :)
Awesome video. I remember twisting my hand all the way round back in the day to do a full cab flip. Upside down switch stance is crazy.. I never even thought of trying to do tricks like that before.. I've gotta get back in the lab😅
Can you our did you make a how to Mollie kick flip video before I'm gonna check after typing this, I'm definitely gonna see if this help's me do a heelflip, I did a few before but maybe it will be easier if I do the tip that you gave me, keep up the good vids dude!
Another video idea would be how filming fingerboarding has changed. In addition to the obvious things such as frame rate and video quality. Are there any differences from then and now? Tips for properly lighting the spot and the like would also be helpful. Thanks for your videos, keep up the good work.
Awesome video!! that breaking the trick down part is what got me landing my first few switch heelflips. they were super sloppy of course but I got them.
Many thanks! Same for me to get switch heels more consistent. I realized that by focusing on the feeling of the board rolling off my knuckle, I could land them almost every try!
Dude my tricks b4 the video : barely off the ground after : I can literally go higher than a water bottle thank you so much, I think it was that tip of loading the fb that really helped
Two things I find helpful is - practice without board, if I am struggling with a trick. The board becomes and distraction and you therefore lose focus on what the fingers should do. If you hand motion is right, the board seems to follow along. And the other one is - think straight 😊 when the boards land to the sides, this can help you back - think straight line
Did you find any of these techniques helpful? Let me know below!

It's always a video like this that gets me back off the couch and back onto my fingerboard park putting in some hours. Much appreciated.
Some of these tips were actually really helpful. I never thought of them, especially the first one!
Glad they helped! It took me ages to realize many of these techniques and to consciously employ them in my fingerboarding!
Using a body is an essential in my opinion. I’m glad to hear that from you because I feel like this is something that people often forget about.
