I’m 46 years old. Been fighting depression for the last couple years. Trying to decide if I feel like I’m worth anything. God this song has been a thing of beauty for me. Thank you, all of you for putting this song out there. It’s not a cure, but damn for at least a few minutes I feel so much better.
the song is empowering. self ownership. determinism. hopeful of a future full of strength and (Charlie Sheen voice) WINNING!! I'm thankful that you wrote and connected here. You are making a difference in the world. You are valuable. (and I'm saying these things to myself because we all need to hear it; especially those prone to deep-rest-ion--> Jim Carrey or Owen Benjamin) I've found depression to be a time of reflection where your body and brain are making it apparent that you need to reshuffle things. You are overwhelmed from being something(s) that you think that you are required to be. Required by who? The machine; the system; western culture; society...the life that we, willingly and begrudgingly, subscribe to. This will be an odd thing to say, but embrace depression when it comes around. Know that it is just a temporary re-ordering of priorities. Typically, finding myself in depression tells me that I need to self-care. Workout. Get outside. Connect with people (that's the hardest one; but the working-out gives a hormonal and body-confidence boost that you can ride on the coattails of). I'm curious if any of this has been your experience as well? Happy Friday.
Part B. Sorry....coffee gets me blabbering. I think that the problem with wondering if you feel like you are "worth anything" is that we think that being "worth something" has to be monumental; extravagant; big-time; attention-grabbing, etc. We live in (slaves to) a culture where UA-cam "influencers" pose in front of Lamo's, big houses, girls all around, bling, jets, etc. Yes, they have a lot of "fun coupons" (money; Wolf of Wall Street reference), but they are still slaves who serve it as their master. They are no happier than anyone else chasing "desires," or, as the Stoics call them "externals." "If you wish to be rich, desire less" “If you live in harmony with nature you will never be poor; if you live according to what others think, you will never be rich.” Seneca "It is not the man who has too little, but the man who craves more, that is poor." Seneca "Wealth consists not in having great possessions, but in having few wants." Epictetus "You always own the option of having no opinion." Marcus Aurelius "One does not accumulate, but eliminate. It is not daily increase; but daily decrease. The height of cultivation always runs to simplicity." Bruce Lee “Perfection is achieved, not when there is nothing more to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.” ― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

It must be said, Gracie is a star in this video. From the `hop over mic stand` to the `Kelly Clarkson head tilt band cue` to the `body roll look into the camera`... all in the first minute and it just keeps going... the video is loaded with a charm that seems impossibly spontaneous and choreographed at the same time (seriously, I can't tell). DAMN!!!
Gracie’s voice is unreal. It’s like a mashup of Tori Kelly, Teena Marie, Hayley Williams, Aretha, and Fucking Godzilla
😂😂💯
🤘🤣🤘 Best comment I've seen in awhile!
I almost did a spit take when I read Godzilla lmfao
Well-put mr. Walker. Godzilla hahaha!
Terena Marie is right there for sure.
Every time I listen, no matter how many times I listen, I feel it deep in my soul. I want to reach out and dance to match their rhythm and energy but I can't reach far enough. I wish a
I had super powers just so can push through and absorb the whole package!!
I have never seen/heard so many people in one room that got it like that, cuz y'all got it, y'all got the juice! Thank you for todays inspiration, as a long lost vocalist, this makes me want to get my juice back, keep living life amazing y'all ❤
y'all i'm still here i watch this at LEAST once a day, whyyyy is this performance so addictive?? they're all so charismatic
This my alarm clock on all my alarms!!!!
I have heard this song a thousand times and always ended up crying
I think it's the lyrics, the gospel sound, the soul in their voice, and with all the shit the world is doing.....stuff like this becomes inspirational in a way.
The female singer has a really good voice, I like her energy
I can’t explain how badly I need this on Spotify.
Chills. Chills. Chill all over.
I really love the acoustic version.. killer vocals from everyone… best rendition of the song…
As someone who has only heard this version and not the original (yet), I'm trying to imagine how any other version could possibly top the magnificence of this one. Really excited to explore the rest of their catalog.
Commercial brought me here. So damn talented. Siblings with such different styles of vocals....both blow me away. Shared with everyone I know who can appreciate this raw talent.
And ...Gracie's range and control...OMG.
Shes got such an incredible voice 😍
The VOCALS! The HARMONIES. The celebratory gospel vibes. The sibling love at the end. The four pianos. Brava. 👏👏 This live performance gave everything and at 150%
I don't think I've gone a week without listening to this song at least once.
I first heard this song February of ‘22 laid up in bed going through withdrawals. Now it’s March of ‘24 and i’ll be 2 years sober.
“This shit's gonna kill me but I won't let it
And I try to give 'em hell but they don't get it
So I tell myself when I sleep at night
Don't lose sight, baby don't lose sight
And they try to give me up but I won't give in
And this life will get you down but I keep living”
Never have truer lyrics been felt 💜💜💜
Hell yea!!! Way to goooooo!!!
@@Ryan-wj7yq Thanks 💜
Keep up the good work proud of how far you have come. Just remember that each day you just have to get through today.
You are incredible.
oh yaaaa!!! so proud of you babes!!! 👏🏻💜
I came here because Jimin recommended this song to Taehyug, and Tae showed it to us armys on his live today 🇧🇷😍💜👏🏽
Man, they all look like they’re having so much fun singing this song. Love to see performers wear their emotions on their sleeve like they seem to.
Gracies vocal skills, timing, range, temperament are simply world class.
Please for the love of god, put this version on Spotify
amazing song beautiful vioce l love this song 🤩🥰😊 jimin taste amazing 💜💜💜
This song has changed me several times
Yeah. I've listened to this song at least fifteen times in the past twelve hours. I'm hooked on Lawrence
Dang she has pipes! Everyone is grooving so well together. This is perfect.
Every few months I gotta come back and say something else..😂
“Am I good enough?… does that even matter or is it luck?…..
That was a BARRRRRRRRRR !!!!!!
🤘❤🤘
It must be said, Gracie is a star in this video. From the `hop over mic stand` to the `Kelly Clarkson head tilt band cue` to the `body roll look into the camera`... all in the first minute and it just keeps going... the video is loaded with a charm that seems impossibly spontaneous and choreographed at the same time (seriously, I can't tell). Her outfit and hair as well project the same effortless joy. And of this even before mentioning her vocal mastery
There's a crazy amount to love about this video, but I just wanted to shout out to sheer domination of the screen whenever the camera was on her
All one continuous shot is done perfectly! Got a chance to meet them and asked how many takes to get the right one: three
@@321cbb Thank you for that detail! I was curious!!
Love how they featured all their backup singers. Great version of a great song!
I bout pulled over for that girls vocals! The emotion is crazy touching!!!❤
Y’all. Melt. Couch. AND Lawrence?! The Northeast has got the monopoly on some SOUL POP.
We are blessed. Ripe, too!
and Lohai!!
Can't have a monopoly when the West Coast has Monophonics and The Dip
Oh …my….god. That is the best piece of music I’ve heard in a long time. Such great arranging. They get so much out of a few voices and pianos. Just wow.
I could play this on loop for the next decade and I'd be happier than I've ever been.
Tema and Veronica from Couch and Melt respectively both being in this video is wild. I’ve seen this a million times and just never noticed. Two amazing leads for two of my favorite bands!!
