It was never meant to be there.
I said so before: I don’t think Tenpenny had any ties to the Loco Syndicate. He had knowledge of their dealings, but he likely ordered Smoke to form an alliance with them because of their affiliation with the Ballas and the Vagos. If Tenpenny had a personal stake in the alliance, he would’ve had CJ killed before High Noon because CJ screwed his drug operation but did not. As for Ryder, I think he was in on the Green Sabre hit, because he slipped and said they were going to kill Sweet specifically. He also abandons Carl and Sweet twice. Yeah he wasn’t supposed to be a traitor, whatever, but he was and it’s a fact and there is nothing we can do about it. Additionally, I’ve said so before but I think Smoke and Tenpenny had Carl eliminate Vagos and Russian mobsters who would either oppose Smoke’s operation or would demand a bigger cut, or would become a competition. The Russian Mafia specifically could pose a problem as an organised crime syndicate, and the Vagos’ leader, Big Poppa, was shown to be very powerful as well. Also, CJ and Sweet wanted to kill the Ballas responsible for their mother’s death but likely signalled them out as they realised that their enemy is more dangerous and powerful than they thought, and a while passed before Sweet’s release so they likely forgot about it, and it’s possible that CJ killed the killers off screen. However, the perpetrators are Tenpenny, Pulaski, Smoke and Ryder.
If it doesn't name Big Smoke, Ryder, 3 Deep, LB, and Emmet as willing accomplices from the start, it's not the whole truth about the green ClassiQue Sabre secret operation.
Do you really think those weapons were really for Sweet's and CJ's faction of Grove? because they were really for Smoke's faction of Grove! If Ryder was such a friend, Ryder had plenty of chances to show CJ what happens where the Ballaz have the green ClassiQue Sabre parked. Ryder bailed and lied about getting Smoke for backup when he could've easily borrowed Sweet's phone to call Big Smoke for help when a Ballaz posse ran up on Grove and we know Big Smoke had a phone because, if CJ would've got fat, Smoke would've called CJ and told CJ to go to the gym!
I gotta give credit where it's due you guys bring up reasonable evidence to prove Ryder wasn't meant to be an antagonist but there is just as much evidence to prove that Ryder was going to betray the families.

Ultimatley CJ did stand up to Sweet after he told CJ to save himself CJ bravely said "I ain't running out on my brother, yo Ballas I am taking you down, I am taking you all down" and after finishing them surrendered himself to CRASH to save Sweet and the surviving homies. later he became a ricjh and successful businessman who out smarted a mob boss like Salvatore Leon and took revenge on CRASH, Ryder and Smoke once again reviving the GSF.
