I emailed Alesis asking for firmware release notes. That was a week ago. Automated response says they will get back within three days. Four days later I emailed agan. Same computer response. Now its been a week and no humans have emailed me back. Maybe no humans work at Alesis now.

@@the.4fi if you press arp+sync it will sync the tempo to the daw. If you turn the sync off it will be seperate.

I bought a V49 mk1 in July 2015 and it still serves me today.
But I am curious to see if series 'VI' will be revamped as well.

I would like to have more knobs and sliders on 49/61 or at least knobs in row instead of 2x2

Not bad but like most midi controllers, yawn, 4 knobs so generous 🙄yeehau!! And not everyone wants pads on a keyboard either, most people already have Maschine, MPD or something else, NI looks better same price range.

"most people already have Maschine, MPD or something else"... that is definitely not true, I know a couple of beat makers and also see many on social media and many people don't have hardware MPCs or Maschine, also many work strictly inside the box with only their DAW & a usb/midi keyboard (like me), so pads on a midi controller are great, as a matter of fact I think every midi controller should have at least 8 drum pads.. for me preferably 16 drum pads like my Alesis VI25 which has them in the 4x4 MPC style configuration like my old MPC 2000XL! :)

The new V mk2 keyboards look pretty cool, some new cool features!
I have the VI25 which is a great keyboard so it would be really cool if they also come out with a vi25 mk2 but they kept those drum pads in that dope 4x4 MPC style configuration of the original mk1, the main reason why I got it, that and the semi-weighted keys! :)
