Thanks for the great review of my 1980 Sunfish ad. I am happy to see that you noticed the cardboard. I am particular about scratching the hull unnecessarily. I actually sold the mast in the photo to someone, so this boat at the same price will be getting a new mast. Mainsheet is a fuzzy soft on the hands dacron double braid rope. Halyard is same rope as originally supplied with the Sunfish. I am enjoying your videos. Unfortunately I watched your review of the Intensity "loop" sail after I bought one. Yes the loops are too big, but have to fit over the mainsheet blocks. I wish the upper boom loops were shorter or all should have been velcro. I also think it would be easier to detach the booms at the interlocking eye bolts then to try to pull the sail along both booms at the same time.
Cool Craig! Thanks for the Review of my review haha... I am sure you can sell the sail pretty easily... I haven't sailed with the big loop sail yet... and your ad was definitely good... thanks for watching and the nice comment! I appreciate it :)
I just got a 1977 sunfish for free today. it needs a daggerboard and rudder/tiller assembly, but it has a decent sail. stoked to sail it and fix it up and sell it later!
Wood work is not my forte... I have done it in the past. But I will be the first to admit that I am not as knowledgeable as a lot of other people on woodworking.
They actually have a good reputation and probably one of the most popular Sunfish Clones. If you get one at a good price and want to just cruise snd not race…. Then go for it!

Another great video, have you done anything on refinishing the wood parts?

What are your thoughts on Phantom 14's. Very similar but larger cockpit. I am 6'3" and pushing 60.

@Lee Montes 11:07 What is a rolled edge?
A rolled edge is the fiberglass edge of the boat, introduced in 1987…. These edges replaced the Aluminum trim of earlier sunfish.
@@LeeSideSailing Thanks Lee! You're the best!!!
