I bought this 6 years ago and it has always leaked out the back hose where the hand tools attach. The repair shop spent $200 (billed to hoover because it was on warranty) I think that fixed it for awhile but I tried to use it now and it's doing the same thing all over again. The hand brush attachment also has never worked.
We were having so much trouble reinstalling pieces. You just said put them back in. You need to go much slower showing exactly how to do it. You didn't say how much water in the main tank. Please remember you also have seniors who are trying to do this themselves and they're not as nimble.
I purchased this few years ago, Junk product and quality. It rinses but made ky fooor moldy even after sucking up all the water, so it must have left behind quite a bit of water in the flooring.

I’ve used this multiple times and gone over the carpet til no water comes up. Then it dries super fast and doesn’t mold up
