Thank you Justin! You are an industry leader and yet you find time for such beginner videos! Real pleasure to deal with very recommended! What is a real surprise is how your channel has much less subscribers than other channels that are not infromative at all.
There is a risk of puncturing through the female's cloaca while probing and getting a false read of male, especially if the probe used is too small. There are many cases of this happening so it is not a method I would recommend as fool proof for beginners. Otherwise, very helpful video!
Going old school, I love it!!! Doesn't matter what it is I watch and like every time!! Years later though,,,, I pause, screenshot and look what's in the tubs,,,, love seeing those secret pairings! ;) lol
Thanks Justin, always a pleasure to be educated. We’ve gotten pretty good at popping, the probe haven’t tried once. Is it necessary to probe for confirmation or just good practice??
I picked up the probe kit from repti-chip. I am wondering what is the common sense guide line for picking the size of the probe. It seems easy to me not to pick a probe too large. How do we make sure that the selected probe is not too small? Thank you in advance, Kinova family!!
So with probing you just push in the probe until it stops? Is there any risk of injuring the animal? Does it cause pain with the popping technique? I know what sex my ball is bc the breeder told me. But I'd still like very much to learn how to do it myself. Which technique is more recommended for amateurs?
First time I heard you say your name, but you said the last name so quickly I'm still not sure if I am pronouncing it correctly (ko bel ka), lol. Very interesting on how to sex snakes, you are a really good teacher. Thank you for the upload.
That was good, I’m glad there’s a even bigger update of how to sex a ball python, I can get it down on some of my younger ones but i can’t figuring it out on my firefly that was sold as a male but I’m starting to think it’s a female and he/she is in the 1200 grams
that was awesome. I'm sure its common sense although its like going to some vets to get ur dog a shot, they do not treat as i would with a human or the way i would with a dog which is a sterile environment. I think its important to mention to clean the probe obv before using it, i would personally clean in between animals too though. i dont have a million like you, but i think its a smart idea to do and you cant be too safe
You know I always heard adults were harder, but honestly it was more difficult for me to learn on hatchlings for some reason, But once I got use to it they are all easy now.
You should probably mention that probing is not something amateur's should actually do... There are a lot of things that can go wrong with someone watching a short youtube video and trying this.
Yes. Because the actual pockets are on the side so if you don’t you’ll sex everything as female and real hype until you’re pairing them or get a call from a customer😬 lol
Bad idea to tell people to use a probe. The absolute only way you should ever be learning how to use a probe is with someone who is extremely experienced and or a veterinarian. Way too many things can go wrong

Congratulations you just made the most viewed ball python video on UA-cam

There are so many misconceptions about probing though I prefer that method. Great video to recommend to new breeders

Great video for a relatively new breeder. Thanks!!

Makes total sense, practice is never a bad thing as well. Thanks bro appreciate you.

Great explanation on the hand technique! With ball pythons I don't think you need to do anything other than the hand technique
Glad it was helpful!
nice info justin.. thats awesome xample ❤️❤️
Great job as always justin!!!

Thanks for the great video!
Awesome video My Friend
What is the max number of scales a female would have.
Tried popping her/him nothing really comes out, then probed and was about 4-5 scales.
What is the probe size used for hatchlings?
awesome thanks!
When doing the popping, did we hurt them?
I wonder what the snakes are think when they get Touched by Justin🤔

What size of the probe you use for the adult?
Makes it look easy!
Great Video
LOL she's not shy, she just isn't "that kind of girl"

What kinds of things can go wrong? Should my vet be able to teach me how to do it properly?
4k video thanks~
Does the probe go to the side, not in the middle?
Yes. Because the actual pockets are on the side so if you don’t you’ll sex everything as female and real hype until you’re pairing them or get a call from a customer😬 lol
Thanks Justin so helpful on how 😉👌⚡💥🔥💦💧

I heard popping hatchling cause harm to the sex organs. Have you heard this or have comments?

No entiendo nada no hablo ingles soy mexicano 🇲🇽😢😢😢🥺
Ummmm. I think shoving a metal stick into their cloaca till it stops isn’t a good idea for beginners. 😬
