They both got their start on Soaps Surann eon Coronation Street, and Julianne on As The World Turns (1983-1986) where she played Two Characters. Frannie Hughes & Sabrina Fullerton (with a British Accent). They had The Same Father whose individual Mothers were Sisters. Julianne also was brilliant at morphing into Characters like Cate Blanchett. From a Porn Star in Boogie Nights to The Wife of a Closeted Homosexual in Far From Heaven. Co-Incidentally Todd Haynes worked on Far From Heaven as well as Carol.
That miss Walker would drive me crazy back and forth with her being unsure of herself it is sad that she listens to her friends and family also it is sad that she does not stand up to them especially that Miss Priestley, nosey biddy!

These scenes just break my heart, the struggle that Ann Walker went through was so hard. I bet there was a few occasions when Anne Lister wanted to give up on her and just run away, it’s a credit to how much they did love each other that they did stay together. I really feel for AW when AL died a few years later, how hard and unfair life was for both of them.

In 1843, when she was deemed of unsound mind, Captain Sutherland became in charge of managing the estate. After his wife (Walker's sister) died, he went to live at Shibden with Ann Walker from 1845 until his death in 1847. Anh Walker went to live at her family estate in 1848. Eventually, Shibden went to the Lister wing that Anne Lister had specified in her will.

After getting treatment for a period of time, Ann Walker returned to Shibden to live with her family there. The Sutherlands had moved in while Walker was in treatment. Her sister died in 1844. And one of their kids, a teenager, died at Shibden. Sutherland remarried in 1946 and then died himself in 1947. In 1848, Ann moved to live at Cliff Hill. The brother in law never had control over the estate, just resided that a couple years. It stayed under Ann Walker's control until her death. At that time, it went to the Lister wing that was outlined in Anne Lister's will.
