That is so generous of your viewers. I used Weller soldering irons at work for years, they are quality and reliable. Happy 2024 - I think your channel is going to do well this year 😺
Nice to see you've had a great Christmas..... But one idea I had would be a tour of your electronics lab. I think it would be very interesting also everyone would be able to know what things you might be missing. Great video you have a wonderful new year
Thank you so much for the wishes! I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The idea of a tour of my electronics lab is fantastic, and I'll definitely consider it for future content. It'll be interesting to showcase the tools and equipment I use. Thanks again, and wishing you a wonderful New Year too!
I think you probably know this, but the original Commodore power supplies are famous for failing and killing the computer beyond repair. Might want to consider a 3rd party replacement. Love the channel!
Absolutely, you're right about the infamous reputation of the original Commodore power supplies. I appreciate the advice, and it's a good reminder for everyone in the community. Using a reliable third-party replacement is indeed a safer option. Thanks for looking out, and I'm glad you love the channel! If you have any more tips or suggestions, feel free to share. Happy New Year!
who ever sent Sayaka the assorted caps that was a really good call. Merry Christmas from Australia and happy new year, your lab is getting better than mine. ;)
That Weller soldering station looks nice...I need to upgrade my cheap soldering iron but honestly, it works really well, it just feels and looks cheap. So I guess I want to upgrade my soldering iron, more than need.
WoW seems that you got a lot of gifts, best wishes for the new year. (Amiga600/Amiga1200 are from the time of the capacitor plaque, also still have to repair mines still work but chance is high the capacitors will leak at some moment)
Thank you for the New Year wishes! I appreciate it. And yes, you're absolutely right about the capacitor issue. Wishing you a fantastic New Year as well!
"Back into the storm" is one of my favourite books. It's full of funny stories and anecdotes of all the machines Commodore made, their offices, trade shows, everything! Bil Herd is a great storyteller. Highly recommended book for every Commodore fan. Regarding the soldering station, make sure to make the yellow sponge wet before usage. I have seen many video where people apparently don't know what the sponge is for and leave it dry. Happy new year!
I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed 'Back into the Storm'! It's indeed a treasure trove of anecdotes about Commodore's journey. Bil Herd's storytelling adds a unique charm to the Commodore experience. Thanks for the tip on the soldering station, you're absolutely right about wetting the yellow sponge; it's a crucial step. Wishing you a fantastic New Year as well! If you have any books you'd like to suggest, feel free to let me know!
Happy new year, Eleonora, from Germany! Really great unboxing video (which are always fun) and you got some really great useful items and devices. Especially i am happy for the C16 since i am a Plus/4 focused channel. Really great donations but the greatest gift to the retro community is you and your channel! Greetings George (P.S.: Great Godzilla shirt by the way)
Happy New Year, George! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed the unboxing video, and I'm delighted to hear that the items, especially the C16, caught your interest. It's fantastic to connect with a Plus/4 focused channel.🙂
@@Sayakas_Digital_Attic You are welcome. If you consider repairing video related to the c16/plus4 i have a broken and rare 1551 disk drive which does not load disks anymore. Its complete in original package. I could loan and sent it to you for a repair video. I would pay of course for all expenses (parts, shipping etc.)
Happy New Year Eleonora! I'm glad that you have many supporters that have gifted you with all those essential packages as much as I have also wanted to support you for what you do. When budget allows, I'll be sure to send a little something through your PayPal account but for now, you have my love. Congratulations on reaching 20k subscribers!
Knowing that not all youth are numb, staring at a handheld communication device, but actually learning and understanding how tech works is wonderful. Only question, what is the accent? French or Italian, or am I way off?
Another great video. In your closing titles at the end of the video, you show a Texas Instruments TI99/4A. Will you be doing a video on it at some time? I hope so, as it was my very first home computer 44 years ago.
Thank you for enjoying the video! I'm glad you noticed the Texas Instruments TI99/4A in the closing titles, It could be a great idea to make a video about it!
Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm passionate about exploring and sharing the wonders of old technology. It's great to connect with fellow enthusiasts, and your support means a lot.
Since I was little, I have always been surrounded by retro computers because my parents used to collect them. However, for a long time, they have been busy with other things, and it's been a couple of years since I started repairing and restoring computers from their collection, which is now mine. 🙂
That's a wonderful idea! I appreciate your suggestion, and it's definitely something I'll consider as the channel grows. Sharing with someone who will make good use of them is a fantastic way to pay it forward.
People dreaming of big houses and expensive cars. I just want that attic. What a cozy lab!
Many thanks to all who supported Eleonora with these fantastic gifts!
Indeed sending lots of love and thanks to everyone who contributed to these wonderful surprises!
Congratulations! It's great to see viewers sending you some very useful tools for your lab. You deserve the support. Happy 2024!
The whole video I was feeling very warm and fuzzy inside 😛 This is so much more personal than say $5 on Patreon :)
Stuff like this is what makes UA-cam beautiful. Your enthusiasm is very contagious. Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!

That was a lovely introduction and very gracious video. All the gifts are well deserved given the well made content you provide.
Hi Eleonora, another great video. So good to see that your channel is getting such fantastic support 👍
For your broken A600 (so not the one you just received), you should look for leaky SMD caps, this would make a great repair video :)
Thank you for the suggestion! I'll definitely look into the possibility of leaky SMD caps on the broken A600.
great to see your lab coming together
Fantastic !
This channel never tires of bringing joy to us.
Thanks
Thank you, I'm happy to hear that you find joy in the content🙂

You can get black glue sticks for the glue gun. Handy for fixing black cases.

Wow, you got an Amiga 600. And have two is even more fun. Maybe you should try PT-1210 mixing software :D

How did you get into electronics and old computers? That's a very unique hobby/profession for a young girl.

I propose, one day, when your channel grows enough so you can afford better equipment, to pass forward this what you got, to someone who will use it.
That's a wonderful idea! I appreciate your suggestion, and it's definitely something I'll consider as the channel grows. Sharing with someone who will make good use of them is a fantastic way to pay it forward.
