I will never understand why people are so defensive of their dogs. My dog has never been aggressive for a single millisecond but I NEVER let her out of my site. They're animals, they're literally capable of anything.
Literally, my dog is one of the sweetest most gentle dogs you'll meet around children and people and dogs she knows, she gets a bit anxious around other dogs she doesn't know but is still friendly but because of that anxiety I'd never met her loose around other dogs because even tho shes not aggressive I never want her to be in a situation she could get hurt herself or accidentally hurt another dog in a panic. At the end of the day animals dont think like humans and as an owner it's your responsibility to make sure your dog is never put at risk or is a risk regardless of how good they are
I had neighbors who acted like this lady with their dogs. They chased me into my own house, killed another neighbors cat in front of them and basically terrorized the entire street. Animal control did nothing. I finally got her number and called her. She had the nerve to tell me her dogs were the most well behaved and loving pets. I told her they might be that way with her family but they are vicious animals. I told her if she loves them so much she’ll fix her fence because if they got out one more time she’d find them dead hanging off the fence posts. She never let them off her property again. I can’t stand people who act like that. I have a German shepherd and he is with us at all times. He’s a big baby with us, but he’s proven he can get aggressive over us. That’s always on my mind with him.
So, she's saying the plaintiff found another pit bull, had it bite his hand and his dog, then ran to her house and blamed it on her pit bull, because clearly that makes more sense...
Reminds me of the ''Chiwawa lady'' who was trying to convince JJ the plaintiff gave his own dog puncture wounds, when really it was her dog who bit the plaintiff's dog.
She was basically trying to make it out that he and his dogs walked up to her leashed dog and brought it on themselves. But even I could tell she was full of it.
Don’t be silly , She’s saying this guy saw her dog leashed to a tree , bit himself , and then made out it was a dog bite , Even the hospital staff were in on it 😂😂😂
The county should have gotten an Order to remove the dog and put him to sleep. He’s a dangerous animal and after biting a human and tasting his blood, he might as well be a loaded gun sitting in a baby’s crib. This woman is 100% delusional!!

After I gave him the opportunity just to pay the vet bill and not worry about the other expenses he told me that I initiated the attack even though my back was turned and we got attacked from behind never saw the dog coming. I swear to God it's like these people get a script off some kind of activist website. When my lawyer looked into the case the dog actually had three other incidents that had been documented by the city. The problem was they all included dogs so nothing was done about it. So my dog would never hurt a fly is the words of someone's dog who has hurt another person or dog before.
That is what all owners of Pitbull's cry! They then say this stupid statement "Pittbulls are not dangerous - it is the owner not the dog that is the problem.""

Yea... it's that word a lot of UA-camrs use when they're covering topics about bad things ppl have done. "Accountability"... That's what's wrong with her... She has none.
The defendant thought that her retired cop husband was going to get her out of this just like he got her out of all her other problems before. Judy said, “No, no, Karen, you’re gonna pay today!” 😂🤣😂
There is no way the defendant was going to be honest about what happened, or admit that having a pibull around small children is a risk. Ridiculous woman!
@Jyvur Entropy Pit bulls aren't just killing children and the elderly anymore. They're killing their healthy adult owners now too. "54 cases [among all U.S. dog bite fatalities 2005-2017] involved a dog killing its primary owner. Pit bulls inflicted 63% (34) of these deaths, over 8 times more than any other breed. Pit bulls killed their owners in all adult age groups vs. attacks without pit bulls, where 90% of owners were ≥50 years old."
@Jyvur Entropy yep, pitbulls unfortunately tend to be more rough and their bodies are quite heavy. They could crush children just from playing. People tend to get pitbulls as guard dogs too, so that says a lot.
I love that she pretends not to understand why someone would lie about being assaulted. Then turns around and implies this guy got a different dog to bite him and injure his hand just to mess with her.
She’s insane!!! So she needs to explain how if your dog was tied to a tree did the plaintiff get his hands around his throat to bring him to your doorstep. I guess he untied him and then carried him by the throat to her house just so he can blame her dog and NOT the real dog that bit him and his dog!!!
It is amazing the lengths people will go to not take accountability for dog attacks. I bet the defendant's husband has a long history of malicious arrests, planted evidence, fictionalized reports and excessive force. The defendant will literally say anything.
@@coltonblake13 it makes sense to me. My dog bites someone and so i call up my old buddys on the police force to report it…a moral person would not do that. An officer or ex officer that played fast and loose with the rules while on the force would do that. And thats why the defendant did not have a copy of a police report from the “assault” because she knew it would and would not say. She is not very old, and even if her husband was 10 or 15 years older than her he is still pretty young to retire from police work, probably left for other reasons.
She has to convince herself of her dog's innocence because the Cult of the Pit Bull believes that they are loving "nanny dogs" and not historically documented as having been bred to fight to the death.
Police officers don’t retire at 65 like most people. They retire early and many of them get other jobs like in security. Its more like the military where people retire earlier from that field than most other fields

Any dog can bite, or attack another dog. Ive seen Golden Retrievers that have attacked kids and other dogs alike in similar situations as described in this case. This case is 1000% based on owner responsibility. The fact that she chains her dog up to a tree in her front yard and leaves it unwatched is already a large red flag of an irresponsible dog owner. She showed no care at all for this man injury, and instantly went to defending her dogs, even though she didnt witness any of what happened. I get people wanting to blame the dog for stuff like this - but you know what REALLY helps avoid situations like this from happening? Having a responsible dog owner who does not just make blanked assumptions about their dogs temperament, and who doesnt just leave them chained up to a tree by themselves. The husband calling one of his old buddies down to try and help absolve them of any responsibility only further adds to these people being completely irresponsible, and incapable of taking any responsibility for anything.
This is what IRRESPONSIBLE owners are like. Cannot blame the animal. I’ve had this chihuahua in my apartment complex attack my black Labrador many times, only thing is, chihuahua’s are five pounds so no one cares!
@@Eros4tw 👍agree it's the owners and the dog too. I've had an experiences with a pit. The dog was a nice dog to me, always was happy to see me when I visited. Super friendly and all. I love dogs and was playing with him but the dog is so powerful and it's jaws are as well. We were playing with a tug toy and my hand got in the way and got punctured. I yelled and the dog immediately stopped. I learned then how dangerous they can be if in a fight or attacking another animal or a person. Even playing "nicely" they can do serious damage.
This dude was locked in on how Judy works. Only answered with what she asked with no embellishment and kept his mouth shut until talked to from her otherwise. Came with evidence. I'd be interested in knowing if it's on record now about the dog bite. Plaintiff absolutely needs to report it to the local dog shelter. Most dogs are forgiven for one bite, but after that they are destroyed. I wonder if there is another bite report and that's why she is defending the dog so hard.
I'm surprised JJ didn't say "Now you're on notice ". Next time it happens, she will probably have to put him down. Btw, why didn't she just close the garage door whole emptying the car?
@@LillianCrawfishDE or take the dog to the fenced in back yard. Her defence of 'tied him to the tree' makes zero sense right. Also that tree looks like it's right next to the footpath - so even if she did, the dog could easily attack someone walking by.

And she admitted that the plaintiff carried her dog to her door. How could he do that if her dog was tethered to a tree? Judge Judyism: "If it doesn't make sense, it's not true."
The defendant is clearly a liar and concocted this ludacris story with her husband. Why would the husband walk passed his wife while unloading groceries and then close the door in her face? And why would her dog be on a leash in her house only for her to lead the dog to a tree while she unloads the car, rather than just leaving the dog in the house? Her lies made no sense when clearly her pit got out and bit the plaintiff. Which makes sense and happens all the time.
So.. i have a cat and 2 ferrets, when me and my wife unload the car, we shut the door behind ourselves each time. Cuz.. duh.. Firstly should your premise be correct(its not) officers are more likely to abuse their wives so yeah maybe he'd "shut the door in her face". Or, maybe they shut the door so the dog doesnt run out. You ever have a pet? You just kept your door open for 5 minutes or more when you brought in groceries?
@@coltonblake13 see? Thats the part that doesnt make sense and judge judy pointed it out in part 1. If she or her husband closed the door so she could unload the car then why did she also claim to retrieve the dog out of the house, put him on a leash and then tie him up to the tree? So she both closed the door AND tied him to the tree for the express purpose of unloading the car? That makes no sense. And thats how we all know she clearly conspired with her husband to falsify a defense. The problem she didnt realize is that in common law when a pet injures someone, the owner is always responsible no matter what under the principle of strict liability. I learned this in business law. It doesnt matter if she had her dog locked in a crate. If he got out and injured someone then she is responsible every time simply by virture of owning the dog. So her fraudulent defense was also moot. Lol. I think judge judy just wanted to expose another liar.

All of them say the same thing “my dog would never” well lady it did. When I was a child my parents got me a wee lil fluffy toy poodle, most loving and snuggly wuppy ever! Needless to say my best friend! A new girl had moved into our neighborhood and she came over to my house to play and naturally wanted to play with my dog, we were about 8 years old. Well we were playing with his toys with him and he snuggled on her lap and after a bit I called him over to have him come snuggle on my lap as were both sitting down criss-cross-applesauce about 3 feet from each other but when he got up to come to me she tried telling him “no stay with me, come back” he stopped looked at her and still came to me so she grabbed him by his tiny tail and tried pulling him back and he immediately turned and bit her hand. His bite broke the top skin much like after you get a wasp bite or bee sting, she didn’t even bleed. But my mom being diligent and walked her home three doors down with her and explained what happened while holding the lil guy and proof of his shots but they still were upset and filed complaints with the SO and AC though it was their dingus of a daughters fault and we had to put him to sleep (this is back in the 80’s). We had a staffy/ pit that was loved and part of the family. One day out of the blue as we were all sat around in the lounge room as usual he turned on my 17 yr old son as he leant down to stroke him and lunged at his face! Bit a chunk out of his cheek and held on for what seemed ages. He started to drag my son across the room and somehow my son thought to move with him. The only thing that got the dog off him was when I ran into the kitchen and shook his box of biscuits. He responded to the noise and let my son go. He lost part of his cheek and his hands were bitten and scratched from trying to hold the dogs jaws open and all his neck was scratched. Totally traumatic for the whole family. My son was lucky this didn’t happen when he was alone and that he wasn’t younger. Could of been even worse.

All 4 of her paws are probably the size of 1 of the malamutes, and the malamute is also a good foot taller and double the weight. But she absolutely is the sweetest giant dog ever, the husky is good too but quite a bit more playful and even a little on the aggressive side. But they're both shelter dogs, not gonna be perfect, and I don't have any kids or walk them without full harnesses because they do easily slip out of collars

Any time there's a pit bull issue you count on the fact there will be apologists and vapid defenders of the breed in the comments section, but numbers don't lie. "In the 13-year period of January 1, 2005 to December 31, 2017, canines killed at least 433 Americans. Pit bulls contributed to 66% of these deaths. Rottweilers, the second leading canine killer, inflicted 10% of attacks that resulted in human death. German Shepherds came in at 4.6% and mixed breed at 3.9" These number compared to the rate of reported attacks by breed is even more disturbing: Pit Bulls 3397 Rottweiler 538 German Shepherd 113 It's not clear whether all these reported attacks resulted in physical injury that required medical treatment but I imagine an attack that does not result in such injury is probably less likely to be officially reported at all. Personally I have known several Pit Bulls who were great dogs. When I volunteered for an animal re-homing shelter my favorite dog I ever worked with was a Pit Bull. However, any dog has the potential to be unpredictable and the issue is compounded by the ability of weak willed, incompetent individuals to own them. The fact that they exhibit a higher incidence of attacks and fatalities makes them unsuitable as pets. Perhaps some people should be able to own them in a professional capacity but it should require special training, passing a certain level of competency and very stringent special licensing.

I like how she said he was cradling the dog like a baby in his arms, but also managed to push her against a pillar.
Great observation.

@Jyvur Entropy yup
Sorry, there are no bad dogs, only bad owners.
You'd be surprised at the statistics.. It's actually the little dogs that bite more. You only hear about pitbulls though.
This is what IRRESPONSIBLE owners are like. Cannot blame the animal.

I yelled and the dog immediately stopped. I learned then how dangerous they can be if in a fight or attacking another animal or a person. Even playing "nicely" they can do serious damage.

I'd be interested in knowing if it's on record now about the dog bite. Plaintiff absolutely needs to report it to the local dog shelter. Most dogs are forgiven for one bite, but after that they are destroyed. I wonder if there is another bite report and that's why she is defending the dog so hard.

@@LillianCrawfishDE or take the dog to the fenced in back yard.

Point being our dog versus her pitbull and it’s bites. At least her kids aren’t heartbroken losing their dog by being put to sleep thanks to her husbands connections. I hate it when they take zero responsibility and can’t own up to one single thing or mistake they made as owners.
My dogs I had before my kids are both deceased as my kids are almost grown, but I had 2 Maltese cross shitzus who were good dogs and never bit, however I never left my kids alone with them as you never know. You shouldn't trust any dog you must be vigilant and a responsible dog owner
I feel really, really sorry for the poor child with a mother like that. She has no moral compass at all. There’s no hope in that home.
Man, the defendant is a whiner and a liar. Her story is so ridiculous. She also gives the police community a bad name. Attempted abuse of power.
She definitely painted her ex-cop husband as a loser bad dude in this case. I would be embarrassed and stay home if I were him, I think.
Well done, Judge Judy !
DON’T MAKE HER READ THE LETTER, LADY
It was already pretty clear that she was lying, but her response and facial expressions at 0:17 made it so much more obvious.
Pit bull owners stay swimming in DENILE just back stroking and diving😂😂
It's plain to see that absolutely none of what Judy said got through the defendant's thick skull.
The way Judge Judy said...."Okay! You have to get the letter read to you!" had me dying laughing.
I love judge Judy way of questioning
That was nice of him to bring her dog back to her while injured.
Unfortunately in defendant's world that's 'odd' to do if her dog attacked him and his dogs, when really it just shows he cares about animals whether they are his or not.
What got me laughing is when she said he was holding my dog like a baby so gentle with no blood.. Really lady come on now 🙄
Scares me to think about what kind of cop her husband was..
He probably believed whatever BS story she came up with without ever talking to the other guy who was attacked.
Poor malamute pup. I have a malamute mix and he's just a giant sweetheart. A lot of dogs are intimidated by his size and will actually become aggressive towards him I'm guessing as a dominance thing. And while I describe his as a friendly, goofball, I wouldn't just assume he'd never bite anyone and blame somebody else. The friendliest dogs can snap if they get frightened or feel threatened.
I have a malamute and a tiny husky. You can guess which one tries to be the dominant one lol. The tiny husky is like permanently 1 year old puppy size, tiny paws and all.
You just had to meet my Black Lab. That “gentle Lab” reputation was 100% inapplicable to that boy. He was gorgeous, smart, athletic and had lightning speed, but he was lethal!!! I could barely afford to blink around him. I had to re-home him with a dog handler in law enforcement!!! That’s the extent to which I feared what he would do if I let him out of my sight for a nanosecond. He wore me out!!!
@@rosalynw.otieno1994 obviously not every dog lives up to every stereotype
@@darkfireBikes you’re right. A woman took him from outside my house (he used to jump over the backyard fence and “run away” to the front door). Don’t even ask me what that was about. You should have seen her face when she rang the doorbell trying to convince me that he was running down the street when she found him and leashed him. She looked like she had just met the Devil. 🤣🤣🤣
@@rosalynw.otieno1994 Lol! I had a lab many years ago & she was an escape artist extraordinaire. Some of the ways she escaped I never even figured out. I think she literally climbed the 6 foot fence. She didn't even live outside; she lived in the house, and she got lots of walks & swims, but I used to let her in the backyard to do her business--she'd be out there 5 minutes & take off. She'd come back with stolen merchandise.
She stole people's newspapers (yeah, this was a long time ago), & she stole kids' toys.
We called her a Labrador Lathiever. 😄
Love it when Judge Judy brings out the pit bull letter. They were literally bred as a fighting dog.
German Shepherds came in at 4.6% and mixed breed at 3.9"
These number compared to the rate of reported attacks by breed is even more disturbing:
Pit Bulls 3397
Rottweiler 538
German Shepherd 113
It's not clear whether all these reported attacks resulted in physical injury that required medical treatment but I imagine an attack that does not result in such injury is probably less likely to be officially reported at all.
I've heard JJ read this letter for years, and everytime I wonder how that poor kid is doing today.
This woman is a SICK person
Judge Judy is the best! I love her rants about Pitbulls!
I’m worried for her daughter 😢
She got a taste of judge Judy
