You should rinse snow foam off and then wash with a mitt and bucket.

Yes and no :) When the car is dirty, ideally you need to rinse off the foam and then do the contact wash. However if it is lightly dirty, then you can use the prewash foam as extra lubrication, as most of the dirt should be dragged down by the foam already. Here, the car wasn't dirty, but as it was polished, it had some polishing compound dust, which I wanted to rinse off. I use the foam to get into the crevices. Here I used the wash mitt to see, if the Polytrol would come off, when washing the car, but it held up nicely.
