Unboxing the replacement Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS III from Amazon

This was the second attempt from Amazon.com to send me a new Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS III (version 3). The first lens that showed up after a “order processing delay” was a used and abused Canon 70-200 f4L. After a call to customer service a replacement was on the way and I was to return the incorrect item. This time I open the box to find a Vivitar 85-205 f3.8 manual focus lens that doesn’t even fit on a Canon camera.
Amazon customer service was on the phone again a minute after opening. I asked for a refund and for them to investigate what is going on in their supply chain. They have subsequently removed the Canon 70-200 f2.8L IS III from their website until they can get to the bottom of the problem.
