Please don't spread misinformation about font smoothing. Text rendering is a deep and complex topic and if you don't know exactly what you're trying to do you're better off sticking with the defaults - using non-standard properties in a global selector to try and forcibly disable subpixel rendering is only going to harm readability for most users.
Thanks so much. Watched several vids of yours and all very helpful. I know what I like when I see it ( speaking of placement and spacing) but without the scientific tips I spend hours in trial and error until I find the perfect harmony. Many times doing this I discover unique and unknown happy accidents but starting with your method will definitely cut down on the time. Thank you so much.
Font-smoothing everything was at least a few years back not recommended because of performance issues. Not sure how it is today, since devices got a lot more capable. I use it rarely nowadays and most of the time only for bright text on dark background, which because of physics of the light almost always looks too thick. It’s like _Punktzuwachs_ in print.
Mate - ditch teh annoying silly mic loop bacckground music - that only serves to distract from your messaging - which is quite sensible and strong. Very offputting for peopel who actually are inrterested in what you have to present.
Even tho it's 2024 and overall quality of youtube educational videos is pretty good, this one raised a bar!! Concise stream of pure value! Thank you!
I love how actionable these tips are. Bravo
Great great Video, Alot of Things i didn't even know about! Would appreciate more content like this
It's on the way! Got a 30-minute rant about *spacing* coming out soon

Love the tips!
Such solid content. Good stuff brother.
Thanks for the video! The ideas are presented so clearly. What software do you use for the screencast?
Good Channel 👊💯
Fantastic video, Garret. Please what did you use for your subtitles?

Looking forward to your Lightroom tutorial
What software did you use to record this? I love the way subtitles look!
What screen recorder are you using to create this?
It's called screen studio. Mac only, but absolute game-changer.
Does the sharpening Code also work in Framer? Cause when I put it in, nothing changes.. :(
Never used framer, not really my schtick. But go ahead and send me an email and I'll take a look for ya.
How to disable captions?
I baked it into the video. I didn't realize UA-cam let you do it through the upload process. Won't be repeating that mistake, lol.
Please help to create UI like awwwards website like 3d and motion interaction to impress my clients
