A few suggestions for future builds. #1 - roof rails that match the van color to make it less obvious there are solar panels up there, #2 - a table appropriate for working on a laptop for extended periods of time, #3 - normal size rear windows or none at all, and #4 sink faucet that can be pulled to the back of the van for outdoor showers. These are all realistic suggestions given the form factor and use cases of prospective clients.
I agree. For a second I thought I was the only one that thinks the square rear windows just look a bit tacky.
I'm an old broadcasrer - I recommend that slapping your hands together causes folks to divert their attention.
Looks great. The only thing I can see that’s missing is a porta-potty.
I was just about to type that.. I thought the frig from a distance was it 😅..
All that , no bathroom, go use the woods. Defeats the whole concept. The lithium system adds enough cost that you could get a small rear bath class b with generator. A rebuilt Winnebago Rialta is starting to look good
There is a sink 😂
@@Desperado3248 No woods on the beach or desert 🤷♀️ and if you are an older traveler squatting outside can be a mobility issue as well.
Where is the cooktop?
I LOVE IT! But the one thing it's missing is what I want the most a toilet. The perfect place should be in the second seat with a cover to plug back in if you have a companion riding with you, but let's face it, most of the time, if you start out solo, you will most likely remain solo!
Or one that slides under the bed!
The van I wish I had..
This is a nice van build to maybe take out on the wkends cause it does look very homey feel. However, I would want a stand up rooftop, & a cassette toilet.
That flip-up, flip-out table...😍
Super clever, I must say so myself.
I LIKE the idea. i just wish; that if i can push it against the counter with the table still out.
if im on my laptop and i need to rush to the washroom.
also wish sink has a table lid cover.
Beautiful build but I would never want a microwave or a tv in such a small space. A tablet is just fine for viewing . Definitely need more storage space but absolutely love that you have ac. I would buy it just for this alone. Good job
Yea, would really open up for more storage in the kitchen cabinet.
Very nicely done ! - one of the best I've ever seen on UA-cam considering the size of the van !
Just started watching videos on Transit conversions. This is the best one I have seen by far. Nice work!
10/10 would play video games and eat hot pockets in that van.
Awesome design! Great job 👏!
Great build, looking forward to seeing the next one! With this high level of craftsmanship I’m sure you’re keeping pretty busy!
Amazing build really excited to see what’s next
So great tour with your 🚌
A nice time with you 🙋
Very clean, great job with the fit and finish!
Wow! Best Micro-Camper I have seen yet! You guys really hit a home run on this one! Everything looks perfect! I love very basic design with just the right amount of color. I am sure the more people that see this van will want to hire you to build their van! I wish you future success !
Thanks for the fantastic compliments!
Sweet little build!
Beautifully done!
Wow. It's so nice to see a truly well made layout from start to finish. The builder/installer of this van must have the similar "light ocd" as I have :D. Everything is straight and perfectly made. I am about to buildi my own van soon hopefully and will take this build as an inspiration as how to do it :).
Good luck in your future projects.
Very nice if I ever decide to go small I will definitely consider a Ford Transit Connect.
Camper and a daily driver!
Nice to see small van where the seating backrest is at an angle - much more comfortable for lounging. However, given the small size of these vehicles I'm constantly surprised that they don't often make use of a swivelling passenger seat.
True on the backrest, but unfortunately take out the opportunity for the bed to be wider when in bed mode, I wish there was a solution. The swivel passenger seat unfortunately doesn't work on these because the floor level is much lower in the front.
Such a beautiful conversion, almost like a mini condo unit ~
I agree with the previous comment this is the best micro campervan I too have ever seen to date, excellent video 👍
Thanks! 👍
😍I Love the features and design amaing!
Nice build, love it!
wow amazing work. has that nice simplicity that u need but with clean advance touch. i have been doing alot of binge watching in van life and actually thinking of trying the nomad life for a few years. now coming across of conversion build and definitly impress of the work. ill definitly have u guys in my rador when i do decide to go full time.
Give it a try! you can also sell your van afterwards and not take any losses after having your string of adventures.
Oh my gosh I love it !
Great setup.
Love it!
AMAZING BUILD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I defo need a build like this
This van bangs ❤
Great Job
I am cracking my head trying to design my rig for overloading the world for our mission and this is a puzzle. But you guys really created something spectacular. I have a Land Rover and noone wants to help me convert my vehicle into something in great. And I know once I complete my build, the Land Rover community and new buyers will wish for one. I am going to make it that great, my mission before my actual mission. The biggest challenge has been weight the actual design and weigh limitations.
Interesting project. I think I'd like a go that that, sounds challenging! Show us how it turned out?
Nice I like it
As everyone below mentioned, nice build. I'm thinking that the person who had this built is not a full-timer. I'm a full-timer, for a cheaper and cleaner build some suggestions:
Get rid of the wood on the ceiling, use just sound dampening carpeting to cover insulation. Less weight.
Get rid of microwave, use propane stove. Less maintenance and reduce power draw.
As mentioned get rid of TV and use tablet.
Nice job on covers for windows, but need black out on both sides. Silver side showing on the outside equals hey someone is camping in van. Hey break into this van, good stuff inside. Also that shade in the front is not fooling anyone, light can be seen from the sides. Use a snap on black fabric curtain that will totally cover the area.
Last but not least put some kind of light weight narrow shelves on the walls with no windows. Stronger and cheaper than wood. Thanks
OK. This van is not for you. We get it. Luckily they're not you! Problem solved. 😁
@@ButterfatFarms - I found Richard’s comment very useful. No need to be so rude.
I totally agree and felt the same with all of Richard’s observations. Microwave is ridiculous
Well, some luxury items are not for everyone, sorry Richard.
Very nice van.
I would sure love to test this van out
They can feel quite spacious inside when all done!
Me encanta. Saludos desde puerto Rico. ❤
I understand many people are interested in aesthetics and image more than practicality.....more info on insulation and the quality of the products installed would be helpful....it looks gr8
The windows on the rear cargo doors--very functional. I like them. Where did you get them? Thank you and look forward to more of your videos.
I'm not going to do solar. 30 minutes of a second alternator running is the equivalent of about 3 weeks of solar. Also helps with the stealth factor.
Great build though.
I am in love with this van. My quick trips to NY would be quite interesting.
This shit will go viral, what a beauty.
" THIS IS THE BEST IVE SEEN < BEST COLOURS FOR A BATCH like me "
Did I miss the part of the video that shows where you would put your kitchen stuff, plates, bowls, cups, etc… and your food too? There are no cabinets in the kitchen area so maybe I missed it. 🤷🏼♀️
Wow. I have never found anything I like sooooo much. A few changes I can think of! Do both seats swivel? If not can both seats swivel? Where is the potty in this van? Can I order the way I want with and with out some of your great ideas! Where is the heater? Can you install a diesel heater? I’m looking but want mine just soooo!!!!
Front seat swivel is sadly not an option because the floor is much lower in the front. The passenger seat however can pivot forward to lay completely flat. We place our diesel heater under the driver seat, and man, that makes it run so quiet.
You can keep a hand held urinal for doing 1# at least.
Super! Laik! Respect! 😊
Also it's the empty space under the bed
OH..... MY ....GOODNESS!...Yall totally crushed it. I am still shaking my head. I thought George's Humble Road mini-me was the only one but THIS!...this is on level! Congrats on the van build these should sell like hotcakes, for sure!
Snake oil
@@Dodgeball298 Snake oil? What does that mean?
Haha true, a Micro camper van can still offer so many of the luxuries of a full size van!
That’s a beautiful design, congrats!
I don’t get the impression there’s any insulation and I’m guessing that zero breeze will struggle to cool the van down.
Well done. Really nice work. Since this build is complete and specced out for a specific customer's needs, what did this end up costing?
How much is your build?
I spent 3,000 for the stuff…and my son did all the labor…it was made with love and I do LOVE it.
Very good salesman
Person
Is there a catch all space? I missed the first seven times you said it
The only thing I would look to upgrade is the privacy shade in the front. It doesn’t completely block out light so this would not be very good for urban stealth parking. Other than this terrific build👏
what size and kind of wood did you use for the ceiling?
Do you have any details on how that little fold out table was made? Never seen anyrhing like it!
If you want someone to buy don't make them feel like they are beeing sold something. Apart from that, great build :)
Tell that to every Ad ever made. lol
What tv mount are you guys using
great space!! *QUESTION* is there enough power with solar to use the microwave or can it only be used when plugged into power? thx
A 1000w inverter can be run on a minimum of one 100ah battery and a 1500w inverter. That's how we run it in ours.
Nice build. FYI Ford Connect being discontinued in 🇺🇸
in winter time it will be very cold inside. There is almost nothing insulation to keep the heat inside. Solar panels in a winter time will provide next to nothing electricity. Batteries are not connected to the car alternator.
I just want to know if that little portable ac makes any appreciable difference once the sun goes down? Does it actually feel a little chill and not just cool like the breeze of a small rechargeable usb fan does anyway? Maybe i should watch the video first? lol
Thankfully the Zero Breeze AC is a real air conditioner that actually cools the air, not just a fan or something.
Love it. Big question - How much?
Does the power for a/c come from batteries? If so, how long can they run without draining the batteries?
Most likely. The Zero Breeze AC can also come with it's own battery which they claim up to 8 hours of run time.
How long is the bed ???
But what about a space for all your catch all items?
Why does everyonce go with such small solar and batteries?
Has anyone ever made a front door and wall in a Transit Connect? My biggest concern is security as I think having something you could lock from the front would be a big plus.
Would also help a ton with privacy.
Ford makes a divider wall that contractors use. you can get a metal or plastic one. Try looking up Bulkhead Divider or something
insulation?? looks nice tho.
I love this one but there’s a couple things that aren’t really my taste starting with those back windows but overall it’s a great job
Yea those back windows just don't look too sleek from the outside.
Looks great but where's the potty??
This van build was amazing,I love everything about it,,wondering if you couldhave install a on demand hot water system,so if you are out in the wilderness you can have a hot shower out side,,all in all good job.
How do I get ahold of you and how much does this exact conversion cost????
Nice, but no bathroom/shower, and only 5 gallons of water.
Sweet, don’t know if I need a sink that big… Far as the bed goes instead of having it on the side like that which makes for hardly any room in between the sink & the bed -I’m going for a bench in the back a bench in front And it’s a pull out bed when I need it…
With the bed on the side, if you have it going all the way to the wall you can get more room between the cabinet.
With a toilet it would of been absolutely amazing
Price? MPG?
How much will this cost
I don't think the ZeroBreeze AC unit is enough to thoroughly cool that amount of space so it needs to be aimed at the occupant for maximum effect, not at the floor. And that assumes it is installed correctly. It is not. One of the condenser air tubes is going into the floor but the other seems to go out the front of the cabinet. So you are pulling in inside air, using it to cool the condenser and sending it outside. That air you pull in has to come from somewhere, meaning hot outside air would be pulled into the van to replace it. It make the unit even less effective.
That second tube runs through a channel in the rear cabinet and through the floor on the other side of the van. You're right though, if that tube just ran to the interior, it would be a mess!
How much does it cost? You left out the most important information.
Not sure why that was not included on video...platform looks good..not enough storage for full time though
How much is it?
Sounds like a great camper.... Put all that stuff in there but nowhere to go to the bathroom
0:43 200W of flat solar (not really effective when the sun is low) and 300Ah Lithium batteries? Good luck charging them, 100Ah would be enough.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
WHERE IS THE TOILETT ????? COME ON GUYS....... DO I JUST WAIT UNTIL I RETURN HOME???
No toilet lol😂
Which raises the question what is a good choice for one? Seriously. My folks retired to hot Florida and kept a porta potti in the back of their conversion van. After awhile that van had the perceptible smell of chemical toilet infused into it. That thing needed to be ozone generator bombed or something. Not sure the future owners ever got the smell completely out of it! 😂
The van is really beautiful but I think, don't need a microwave neither a TV screen.
All those batteries get a lot of place and that's a pity because the van is really beautiful.
Where's the toilet??
I don't understand why anyone would waste the investment when you can't even stand up!
No toilet???
No bathroom? Really? This client really didn't think that one through.
what about heater? To me it is useless if there is no heat source. I mean real heat, not a car heater, not a water heater. Air heater. Gasoline, propane or diesel heater.
Diesel heater is the way to go
Will you EVER get to the point?
Will you EVER stop whining?
300Ah??? You goin to charge your Tesla while on a road trip?!?
An awful lot of space in a limited area given over to electronics! Lovely finishes but I’d like to see something that doesn’t require 3d printer parts that will be hard to replace and allows a more simple lifestyle with easily replaced power banks and propane use for cooking. Not everyone cooks with microwaves
This was made for a specific buyer.
The 3-D printed parts are made from a computer file. Having a part replaced is as simple as finding someone with a 3-D printer with a large enough build space to make the part. It’s not a big deal.
Yeah. What’s the point to travel and be out in the nature, and they stay inside in the dark car playing videogames…
The screen near the sink will get wet, strange placement.
There's always that one person who finds a problem for every solution. Found her!
