Heart ache. I shutter recalling hubby & his brother flying to Louisiana after Katrina blasted through. Mother in law's place was roofless, tree smashed onto it too, house filled with water. coffins, clothes, boats, appliances (stoves etc) were in trees & bushes.
Fam in N Carolina are ok, as is fam in Georgia 🙏.... I wish I could help at least donate (oof, can't rn 😢) .... but those folks stuck in hills & such- need more than food & water, batteries, tarps, diapers, basics etc. Some probably need walkers, meds, oxygen etc - those with health issues...
(Iam a worry wort, in laws had lots of health issues when Katrina happened, & ourselves later, in '17 experienced crappy fire (Tubbs) nightmares right after hubby had brain tumor surgery & the start of his ALS journey-on evac or at home w/no power, or water, & gas to drive was hard to find when city was still smoldering... hospitals evac'd, grocery-everything, in hot temps was crazy. at least the house we rented & street hadn't burned.)
I feel sad seeing the nightmare folks are going through😣. I know its hurricane season, but still, its hard to prep for whats going to exactly happen 🙏

I don't like how the news shows flooding but they never specify if that flooding is normal floodplain flooding.
