Kim, I’ve self drafted a tee shirt for my grandson who needs the front of the tee shirt approx 9 inches longer in the front than the back to ensure covering his stomach. How can I make the back shorter so that it doesn’t look like he’s wearing a dress from the back? I thank you or your subscribers for any advice they can provide.
Hello! Can you do a full tummy adjustment in the front rather than adding length? You can actually draft the front wider and also round out the seams and ease them in-/ it’s pretty easy with a knit
Hello and thank you for your videos! Re the Laundry Day Tee - have downloaded, printed and assembled the pattern happily. I am only a bit worried about the shape of the front armhole - is is quite unusually scooped to my eye - is that all right?

Wow! I stumbled across your 10 free patterns & 10 favorite sewing objects today. I’m in my late 60’s and learned to sew at age 8 in our local 4-H group growing up I rule MO. I sure wish I had known about your channel before...but am happy to have found it today. I have relied on patterns from Nancy Nancy’s notions and the MO Star sewing channel for free patterns or my quilting magazines, Quilt World, Fons and Porter.im so grateful for your site. Perhaps you could do a tutorial on how to use a pattern drafting fuller. I’m not quite sure how to use one even though I have been sewing for a long time. I took about a twenty year break from a lot of sewing due to several spine surgery’s, and sewed off and on during my career as an Oncology & Hospice nurse, so I am finding my way back. I have found that men’s pants are easier to sew than women’s, but with a class on the pattern drafting ruler would probably. Be just what I need to learn.

Great vlog Kim! I see on tuning in this evening that you have smashed to 2000 subscribers- woohoo 👏👏👏👏👏👏 I love the Laundry Day tee! I have made a few of these too 👍. Just for info, the Uvita top has an add on now for £5 which includes Unlined Hood with optional drawstring, Floppy stand-up collar, Sleeve cuff, sleeve cuff with thumbhole, flare sleeve, kangaroo pocket , patch pocket and Bottom Band. Worth buying, I think. I hadn’t heard of the Hoodie and will definitely be checking that out!
I will also be making the Grow with Me Jammies for my two grandkids ❤️❤️ you littles look so gorgeous in their Halloween costumes x

Thanks, Linda! My daughter is very resourceful. She found the trunk or treat. All I did was stay at my sewing machine until the last minute. I felt like Dory: “Just keep swimming “(Sewing). The weather last night ended up being awful. I was so glad they weren’t out in it.

Love the patterns and love your channel! I have the Sorbetto pattern and was wondering could I make the pleat a release pleat/ tuck? I don't fancy the pleat going all the way down the front and I love release pleats Thank you so much❤👍😊
Actually you can - I made one like that, and honestly I prefer it to the way it calls for. I followed the directions because it was Andre along ;-). Thank you so much!
I love the LDT pattern by Love Notions too. I bet I've made 4 or 5 of them. They "just fit"! which is a wonderful thing. Nice pattern round up. Thank you.

Thanks! I want to get the laundry day tee. I have never done a pdf pattern. I want to have it printed not use my copier. Hints on finding a local copy shop? How do they charge them out?
I have never done that. But I will see what I can find out for you. I know there a couple places online that people use.

Hooray! Congratulations to you! Kim, are all these you recommend downloaded and printed at home? I have never done that and just have a regular printer, not anything that uses legal size paper or whatever. I just wonder how that would work for me.
Hi Della! Thank you. Yes, you just use a regular printer with letter sized paper. They are taped together to create the pattern. It can be time consuming, but I will generally stack up a few and put a movie on while I tape :-)

Della I was apprehensive about this, but printed and taped together a Love Notions pattern for the first time this week. It was so easy! Give it a go, I actually enjoyed doing it 😁

Your grandchildren look absolutely adorable in their outfits! I mentioned your channel on the sewing FB group I belong to the other day - hopefully that may give a few more subscribers. I have recently found Sinclair patterns, who draft for tall and petite as well as normal height and also do full bust on some patterns. They have a Harper cardigan pattern free, which I have downloaded and will have a go at once I have finished the Love Notions classic tee. Enjoy the snow and thank you for sharing.

Kim I hope it works out well. I haves seen quite a few versions on the Sinclair patterns fb page which look good. I have just finished the Love Notions Classic Tee, following your sew a long. Thank you so much for this. It took me a while as I am such a funny shape, I made 3 toiles to get the fitting right! In the end I went with grading the shoulders from an XS to a L body, through the armsyce, as you showed us, and then I had to take the arm and side seams in! But I am so pleased, as now I can make as many tees as I want, and they should all fit! The Harper comes next, but will prob have to go through similar to get the fit ( my shoulders are only 3”, my upper bust 37” and full bust 42”, so def not standard). Happy sewing 😁

I dont have a printer so i dont know how i would print patterns. I really love the laundry day tee pattern
You can send them to a copy shop. They have a large format file available for that. I’ve never done that but many swear by doing it that way.
