Good to see you. I'm probably an outlier among your subscribers, having mainly watched the Bill Ewasko search stuff, and also loving the Beach Boys stuff. But I'll update you on the two newer tangents most related to your potential expertise, that have been added to my own sorts of UA-cam channels I watch.
One is airline/flight review channels. I'm not suggesting you make it your specialty or start flying as a full-time content-creation job, but there is nothing done by Jayden Wong or Noel Philips which you couldn't do better and with less sense of entitlement.
The other is on the seedier fringes of the "mighty foreigner/expat visiting Asia" variety you refer to. I watch two channels about Pattaya, Thailand. One is by a British expat who patronizes gentlemen's clubs and "bar girls", and basically provides guidance on how to do so on various levels of budget. On the one hand, he provides many entertaining anecdotes about 100 sorts of things. But on the other hand, under all the helpful "Consumer Reports" and "Etiquette Columnist" and "Hotel/Condo Review" info, there is that pesky underlying promotion of sex tourism as a good/fun thing theme. The other related channel I watch is by one of the local women, who points out the creepier potential customers, tells anecdotes of her own, and speaks of how she hates seeing some underage friends go into the business.
The fascinating thing is how nonchalant and comfortable each side of that deal seems. Their channels are like watching a movie where you get lulled into identifying with the hero's situation, and feeling that you understand and accept their lifestyles. You find yourself rooting for them, and hating when they do something stupid. Then when the movie is over, you realize how far it was from your real situation and how you want to live. But maybe it's nudged you to not being as fixed in your ways as before, not as judgmental of people doing what to you seems desperate/demeaning, but to them just seems like fun or the path of least resistance.
UA-cam channels are becoming primary role models and information sources. Extremes do well, so info and role models for average, nice people, seem to be lacking. You're not an average person, but I think you could be a role model or guide for many average people. I don't think exciting things need to be shown all the time, if you weave in a "how to" aspect of showing people how to get off their couch, travel somewhere out of their comfort zone, and go have experiences they feel they lack the guidance to attempt otherwise.

Some really good ideas here, and some thoughts I've reflected on as well. You're absolutely right that observing some of the sketchier sides of life here had me rethinking a lot of entrenched ideas I had from my own culture. There's only so much I feel comfortable talking about though, because it's absolutely going to be misinterpreted by somebody in this climate. But there are some thoughts I have had before and it's good you are making me return to them.

Adam growing UA-cam is bloody hard! It's been a huge slog for me. I wonder if a split in types of videos over different channels is a solution? Because I see you have music videos and travel/walking which might confuse the dreaded algorithm. Personally my channel is a travel channel only, BUT the videos cover a wide range of types of travel video such as flight reviews (which tend to do pretty well) to city exploration etc which are very much hit an miss. Also I found my Philippines videos did a lot better than my more recent Japan videos have done thus far.

Confusing indeed, but it's how it worked out. If I was going to do it that way, I'd probably start over from scratch.
