Thanks for sharing this. I used your videos as reference to rebuild my ep3 trans. I added a rsx-s 6 gear. After assembling everything. It won't go into 6th. So without these part you mentioned it won't work?

Adding a 6th gear helps with highway cruising, the 6 speed shift selector is hard to find, so this is another option to convert the 5 speed selector into a 6 speed selector
Does this eliminate the need to buy the costly RSX Type-S shift selector for swaps? I got an MR2 I'm K-swapping and ended up with 07 SI guts. The base RSX shift selector is pretty reasonably priced and I have that piece already in the Z3 transmission.

I got a k20z3 LSD trans that I want to put into my Honda EP3.
Would you put the guts of the trans into the ep3 trans case and convert the shifter mechanism like you did in this video to make it work?
That way I can keep my Hybrid racing EP3 shifter cables and continue to use the counter shaft speed sensor. (instead of converting it to VSS)

I wanna do the same thing except I have to sell my ep3 transmission and I have to actually use the z3 transmission and transfer case from the ground up. I know there are a few things or modifications needed to do so
So I can do this with a base rsx shift selector into a z3 transmission
I don't think the bolt pattern is the same for rsx mechanism to bolt into the z3
Does this manual transmission upgraded from a 5 speed to a 6 speed manual transmission without changing the transmission?
you will need to install a 6th gear into your 5 speed transmission or swap in a 6 speed transmission.

No, this has no lockout safety. These modifications make it to where you can shift to 6th with a 5 speed shift mechanism
