I used to travel through Oklahoma a lot in the 90s, and I saw them playing in a bar. I remember thinking that they were a cut above a typical bar band. I looked for them whenever I was in town and managed to catch them a couple more times.
You should react to the various versions of this, such as Live at the Wormy Dog Saloon and Live at Shadow Canyon. If you don’t do a reaction, at least please give them a listen. I’ve seen these guys live dozens of times, and the versus tend to change every show. It’s a fun song with a lot of audience sing-along.
I love this song and the way they change it up depending on where they are playing? My favorite one is one I associated with NTSU for some reason. It has a verse about Wisconsin and our soldiers overseas.
