I’ve watched so many sigma fp videos and this is by far the best fp footage I’ve seen. Everything about this is very well done. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.
@@hideki_film Nice, Im also an Fp own and I'm impressed by your color grading. Can you explain your workflow in Davinci? Do you develop the raw footage in Camera Raw?
It's great to see you are using the Sigma fp. This camera combined with your abilities really makes me want to visit Japan. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hello. Amazing work. I have been following you for a while now, and because of your films and a few reviews I have purchased an FP myself. I have a question about the FD50/1.4 + SLR Magic Anamorphot combo, and I am sorry if the question is obvious, but I am a newby here. does the FD50/1.4 need an adapter to go into the Sigma FP? How do you configure these lenses? I would appreciate your help. Thank you.
Hello. Amazing work. I have to do my independent film where I need Camera. If you have got two choice in between GH6 and Sigma fp what you would personally choose.
Terrific again, great framing, great edit. I'm always up for seeing more FP anamorphic footage. Don't know if you get the same vibe but I really think the FP at 1080p does that great thing the old BMPCC OG did...it has that real film-like quality that makes you feel like you're looking through a window at what's there, rather than giving you a captured 'presentation' of what's there (if that makes sense at all). Did you de-noise any of the night stuff at all?
Yes the fp and the og camera have very similar look. The fp is superior in many categories to the og, except dynamic range. It’s around 12 stops. Plenty enough for me though. I used NR on the opening shots, but not on the train shots at the end (iso up to 3200). The noise pattern is also similar to the og’s. Thank you.
Hi Hideki, What is your honest opinion of the Sony ZV-1. I know it's a basic point and shoot camera, but do you think you can make something good with it? Thank you sir.
You are so talented. Please let me know what in-camera color setting you filmed in on the FP. Was it the “cinematic” or the “teal & orange” or was it off? Also, did you do any additional color grading in Resolve?
I set the color Natural, and left all settings in default. No color settings effect on the recoded file anyway I think, because I only shoot in raw. I choose the Blackmagic color space in Resove, then covert it into rec709 by using lut or cst. All other adjustment was done in the raw tab. Very simple color adjustment indeed. Thank you.
Beautiful slow-motion like this makes me wish the Sigma FP had 4K 60p. I'm thinking of buying it anyway! What did you use to upscale the video? How do you like the Sigma FP over other cameras you've used?
I personally don’t really mind the resolution. 1080p is plenty enough. I used the Resolve 17 to upscale. The fp is very different than other cameras. I definitely keep shooting on it because of the distinctive look, but mostly for my personal project. I’ll mostly grab other cameras for paid gig. Thank you.
Nice video, I love how organic the footage looks. PS: I can't ignore the guy at 3:10, he seems out of place even by western standards. Sorry about that.
Amazing as usual! Do you develop the DNG to BMD film in the RAW tab? Do you use any color space transform? I would be curious of the grading process. Many thanks!
I didn’t use any filters, even nd. I knew the highlight was completely blown out. However I could maintain the very original color from the lens and sensor. That was the purpose of this test shoot. The fp isn’t good at over exposed shots at all, but under exposed shots. It’s totally an opposite story. Thank you.
Hello sir. I really enjoy your work. Your videos are the most arresting of any videos on UA-cam. I would like your advice. I want to produce a run and gun documentary. Would you prefer to shoot with the sigma fp or the black magic pocket OG. What are the advantages and disadvantages of both? If you could answer my question, I would really appreciate it. Thank you sir. Have a great day.
Any issues with any issues with SSD recording? Your sigma footage is some of the very best I’ve seen, far less unnatural/overworked. is it hard to nail your dimensional, super rich, more natural look?
I didn’t use ssd. 128 v90 card x1 only. And only one battery. I could film 13min of 48fps footage. My color process is super simple. I generally use just one node (lut). I do everything else in the Raw tab. Thank you.
Please don't promote this camera (Simga fp - foolish purchase). It has been one of the worst investments I have ever made in camera gear. It's pathetic to say the least. The worst color science and image format. They promised to have a LOG format and did not fulfill it, which as a Japanese company they must be terribly ashamed of. I would highly recommend people to go for any other camera but this. PLEASE!!!
I’ve watched so many sigma fp videos and this is by far the best fp footage I’ve seen. Everything about this is very well done. Beautiful. Thanks for sharing.

The color grading is actually sooooo good!! I've been trying to find fp footage and this is by far the best and most helpful.
Thank you
@@hideki_film Nice, Im also an Fp own and I'm impressed by your color grading. Can you explain your workflow in Davinci? Do you develop the raw footage in Camera Raw?
@@serg.films99 Yes 90% of adjustment would be done in camera raw for me.
Very impressive work. The slow motion really allowed me to absorb the scene, the colours, the mood and your skills. Inspiring. Thank you!
Thank you!
Now all you need is a script, some great audio equipment, actors and editing, and make a movie with this beast.
is this not a movie?
@ValentinaTheCreator I have a script but I can't share it with you.
Really interesting thanks, also your answers to the questions on your workflow and technique etc. Much appreciated….Laurie NZ.
Great final shot with those tram bells. The night shots look amazing. My friends used to work at the Nova in Fujisawa.
Thank you .
Wow! Spectacular shots, great editing, and the music is just amazing. Bravo!
Thank you .
Quality. Some of the best out there. Bravo.

Cinema DNG is your thing! Awesome!
Yes CDNG is the most authentic raw file. I never like braw or prores raw. Too clean.

Do you use SlimRAW or ... ?
@@dark-california Yes always SlimRaw.
@@hideki_film Thanks my friend !
That's good, too. However, I think the videos you made with OG BMPCC are just fantastic. ;)

love the cinematic texture of the footage.

Very very beautiful 😻 do you have anamorphic de squeeze in the built in display ?
I can’t de-squeezed in camera display but don’t bother me at all. Thanks.
Hello sir, how do you do that upscaling ? What is the processes? Thank you.
Edit and export in 4K timeline.
Was going with the Nikon Z9 but I’m feeling this sigma fp especially with the color grading
RAW DNG's rich details in colors
The tram shot is like part of a movie

It doesn’t. Thanks
Well done! Was it on f4 or higher?
Mostly f9 and above. Thanx.

Absolutely beautiful work, Hideki! I reckon you can't do slow motion at 4k, tho? Do you shoot raw or mp4?
