I suspect it's because I borked the release: it accidentally went live for about 20 seconds this time last week before I spotted it. Going live a second time obviously (and sensibly) doesn't get as much of a 'new video' boost from UA-cam.
Honestly, I'm surprised I've not screwed this up before.

The combat mission editor always looked like Black Magic of some kind to me so I’m happy to see this
Looking forward to series. Like others here editor looked powerful but very complex. Wanted to make defensive and ambush scenarios in particular, but again I felt overwhelmed. I have no doubt this will help a ton though. Keep it up!
I'm assuming the Blue forces of map were "representative"?
The dialogue was all about a US Platoon, but British forces were being displayed - or has the US Army bought Land Rovers in this timeline? :)

Considering how much I have enjoyed/learned from your videos I think you would make a GREAT campaign maker Hap. And in my personal opinion that is something that is sorely needed for Combat Mission. I don’t enjoy the battalion sized campaigns of others. Company/reinforced company is that sweet spot of putting effort without being overburdened by having to micro so many units. Just some food for thought!!!
Is the video a bit messed up ? You're talking about a US Army platoon but it's your scenario with a British platoon surrounded by uncons
The footage is somewhat unrelated- I wanted to show all the bits of the editor in the background but didn't want to spoil any of the vanilla scenarios so used one I made earlier, as it were
This awesome! Just got the game and been learning how to do this. Any idea how to get the ai to move somewhere dismount and then occupy buildings nearby? I grt them to move and dismount but they wont occupy the buildings!
There should be an option in the AI tag for the group to occupy buildings.
@usuallyhapless9481 thanks man yeah I set them to mixed but they don't occupy them! They do occupy them when they are in the deployment zone right at the start. But when I have a group move to a nearby town and then dismount they don't seem to enter the buildings on mixed lower or upper lol maybe they need enemies nearby to fortify?
@@jamesdemaio4938No, they're not that smart. If you've just painted a big area for them to occupy, they'll only assume random positions inside that area so might be worth trying with only the buildings painted

Hello , I am making a scenario following your videos - for some reason and it must be me pressing a button I have elevation 20 in white across the map which I do not want - also when I am play testing I save the scenarios and open them in BATTLE I am making a lot of test games can I delete the ones I don't need when I am happy with the final test

You might have pressed the 'e' key: that shows the elevation even if you don't have elevation selected. And yes, you can delete any scenarios you like (just, make sure you don't delete the wrong ones!).

@@davetrugeon Ah, for that you have to be outside the game. They should be in Game Files/Scenarios wherever you have CM installed
