  • Drifting like Keiichi Tsuchiya on Mount Haruna touge (or Akina Pass if you like initial d) with a tuned Kei Office Toyota AE86 Sprinter Trueno. A little while ago I did another "How to Drift" video, but that only covered some basic drift entries. Here, I shed more light on the speed drifting technique that Keiichi Tsuchiya, Serzari and I also use. Music by the Rippingtons

      No, he’s your uncle! I heard your father on the phone with him because I used to hang out at your shop and annoy Bunta-Sama by inquiring about his techniques. Also, you should stop doing that headlights off thing that keeps getting you to win your races, it’s gonna make you depressed and filled with malaise.

    I just feel like some people don't even know who Keiichi Tsuchiya is, and even though I think he is brilliant and your video is brilliant as well, maybe there are some new tags that can bring people in to our extremely talented group of followers? Like, to evangelize? Better tags will help everyone improve to your level. Better tags will help us all.

    That is impressive technique, and it was very well explained, much better than I could. I am just starting to get the hang of four-wheel drifting in BeamNG, but I still have a long way to go to be on your level. My weight transfer is my main weakness, but practice makes perfect. I should note that for me, at least, I had to start using just a regular 2 wheel drift before I could learn to four-wheel drift. Two wheel drifting can be built into an incredible art of its own, it just isn't a speedy technique. This video provides good samples for me of what I want my mountain pass drifting to become. You should open a driving school or something.

    Nice tutorial! Finally someone who understands the DK’s “dynamic speed drift”. It’s still slower than grip, but it makes you look cooler. It’s mostly grip driving with a bit of sliding. Some people like to call this “slip”.

    • @L00PdeL00P
      @L00PdeL00P  3 роки тому +2

      Thanks man! I’m glad you enjoyed it. I’m trying to refine my technique to the best of my ability. While the speed drift is slower than grip if used willy nilly all over the place, it does seem to be faster than grip in tight rotation-heavy corners! It’s most useful and noticeable with weak tires, even maybe bias ply on a really old car. The key is to not only get the rear wheels at their maximum-efficiency slip angle, but also the front wheels too. It’s still used on tarmac heavily if you watch good wood revival races, wherein the cars have relatively weak tires.

    I don't think anybody can do the minimal steering on a keyboard, as keys on a keyboard work like ON and OFF, they just turn the steering wheel to it's limit on how much it can turn and really nobody can control that, I think a little bit of that would also apply to a controller, really there's not much control, but with a steering wheel, we can really control the car, because of the force feedback.

      @@L00PdeL00P that takes a special modified keyboard with analogue keys (which i don't have lol), but yes that can work.

      No, it doesn’t! I’m saying that by pressing and letting go of a key quickly at a certain rate, you can effectively steer between full-lock and no-lock. Though me personally, when I used keyboard, I preferred to steer with the mouse.

      Lapituse Вы очень хорошо взяли этот угол! Вы очень хорошо держали скорость, несмотря на маломощный двигатель. Так держать!

      It’s “moonlighting” by the Rippingtons. I figured since it was a chill instrumental light groove from the 80s it would fit with the theme. Glad you enjoyed the video though.
