Sejak kecil saya sudah menonton bagaimana peter gade, taufik hidayat, Lin Dan, Lee Chong wei bermain. Ginting memang mempunyai deception terbaik.

    Fantastic deception.
Just that little bit delay in the shot or tight net shot.

One of the most skillfull player yet the most inconsistent one as well

      Indeed.
I'm amazed at how being consistent is so elusive for elite players.
In my mind it's a byproduct of hardwork. So what is stopping them.. ?! 😮
They already have the talent which is natural.

@@streetninja23 I think there are several reasons for their inconsistencies
There are plenty of tournaments in a calendar year, many of them are mandatory for top players, with fines for those who refuse to participate. Top players who make deep runs in tournaments often have very short breaks between successive tournaments, and they often need to travel / fly in these breaks. Therefore, there isn’t much time to practice between tournaments.
Still related to the first point, plenty of tournaments lead to plenty of injuries. With badminton’s high pace, rapid changes of movements, jumping around, injuries are almost inevitable. The most consistent players like Axelsen and An Se Young are not immune as well. Once you have injuries, it’s almost never the same.
Badminton games have high variance in duration. Throughout the tournament, your schedules mostly rely on how short or long the previous games last. It makes it really tough to properly condition your body before matches.

for me it is because of their mentality. they trained everyday and don't need to talk about their skills when they are in the game it all come down to their mentality
