Hi I have had this watch since Christmas and as I live in one of those pesky European countries I am really happy that I can have day/month /year which of course is the correct way, but to be serious it's a really good watch and I love the large numbers and the retro 80s styling , pity it's not solar, the only problem I found was adjusting the bracelet which seemed to be a little different from my other Casio bracelets, thanks for the review, stay safe.
I've owned this one for about two years. A really fun watch! Love the retro-futuristic design! The large surface-area of the display is definitely the best feature from a practical point of view. It just has the room to display everything at the same time. The styling of the bracelet is a good match but the bracelet itself is a hair-puller. Sizing it was a pain in the ass - I managed to break two links! It could be I was just being heavy-handed with it, but I think it's just a bad system in this case. And having just a couple of micro-adjustments holes means that it can get a bit tight for me in the summer. Even though it's not the most comfortable watch, I still like wearing it and I'm yet to get tired of it.
Pesky European countries huh... you must be joking! This design is a love it, or hate it thing. I am more fan of the rounded configuration. You never go wrong with a Casio. I just purchased a Lineage model, man I couldn't be more happy than with this watch.
2:43 "like to read date backwards"? Who doesn't know what month it is? If someone ask what date is today? You don't respond it is July! You say it is the 12th for example. The logical way to read date is DD.MM.YY.
glad to see you back, happy New Year :) thanks for another great review, super cool model, mods on this model look really great (maybe you will do one for us even:), would love to see this Waveceptor on a really nice rubber strap !
As a European, I still normally prefer month-date, as it is consistent with hour-minute, but in this case when year is after I would say date-month-year makes sense. Great review - I have also considered this watch for a long time (love rectangular shaped watches).
I’m a PESKY backwards date operator from the Southern Hemisphere, being Australia!😡🤣 Believe me you’re the PESKY ones!😂 Yep yet ANOTHER Casio I could add but unfortunately down here we’re too far away from the atomic clocks! I’m happy about that!😍👍🏻🤣
@@WatchingCasio Don’t get me started on the metric side of things!😡 I’m a child of the 60’s but I still convert LITRES not liters into gallons, IMPERIAL not US, then k’s and not miles & convert! Yet height, weight or distance I work in metric! “I come from the land Down Under!...”🤪🤣😂
I'm pretty sure this watch has a ten year battery?? I've got the resin band version. Really nice watch. One of the better modern Casios and it syncs every night (once you know the best place to put it in the house overnight 😎)
Very cool looking Casio model! But unfortunately for me too pricey (80 bucks on Amazon incl. shipping to Austria). 80 USD is too much for a time only Casio imho.
Greetengs from one of pesky European county, by the way what a great watch. Solar powered will make him top of the crop. I think that dislikes are from pesky European countries LOL.
Nice watch but the striations on the watch glass shown at 0:21 are awful. I’ve just got 2 in the past month so this one is now on the list. 😂👍 Oh and I love that the date can be configured the right way. That’s D/M btw. 😂
About 2.41 - If you have the number 123, you say one hundred twenty three, not three twenty one hundred because this hundred is the strongest here. Is logical to read dates the same way - 2024-02-21 and not 21-02-2024, because what do I care about the 21st if it turns out that it refers to the year, let's say, 1900 and the month of May. But the craziest idea is to write the date like this: February 21, 2024. To read it on the fly, one have to rearrange some gray cells in your head.
You have the newer updated version. Unfortunately the light is the last thing that needed an update, it was perfectly looking with the blue EL. Instead Casio should have updated the functionality, 24h stopwatch, 24h countdown, mineral glass, steel case and vibe alarm would have been on my wish list.
Seems Casio doesn't know how to spell the name of its own watch. The watch front has "Captor" rather than the correct "Ceptor". Is it really a Casio or just some cheap knock-off?
The best digital casio watches for me, they have a beautiful retro 80's design
I've had this one for about four years and it's one of my two daily watches (the other being a gold A500W). I absolutely love it!

I started to find very precise Casio watches after buying my atomic watch. It's really nice to have any way.

My favorite Waveceptor!
I wish Casio would make more robust versions of their watches, they make some beautiful time pieces, let down by their durability.
yes, plastic fantastic
That looks very interesting, I find that the resin one looks so cool.
I like the big digits, easier to read.
Watch looks great. Thanks for sharing
I've had this watch for work for 2 years mine gets a good number of knocks connects each night to atomic a really good tool watch
Esse relógio e muito bonito 👏👏🤩
Just ordered mine after watching this for $67. Thanks for the review
Awesome. Enjoy!
Nice watch, great review. Love the looks, a real hidden gem 🤩😎👌!
Got this watch since new more than 14 years ago and yet to change the battery. That's with auto sync on too.
I have a very similar watch to this one.. its such a good watch...

Ha of course I'm joking :) Glad they have that option. And yeah the Lineage line is pretty sweet.
Great review. Nice presentation style. Subscribed.

"Progression" Maybe, if King George would of been polite. We'd still be with the crown.

Haha yeah I know, us Americans like to poke fun at the metric folks and the date manglers 😂

You're probably right. It's on the cusp.
Try adding a milled clasp to add a bit of weight?

I have wv-m400 which is predecessor in solid metal case, bracelet and mineral glass. Much nicer in my opinion. Check those out! 😉
That is a classic! Pretty rare, too.
@@WatchingCasio wv-m401 solar titanium with positive display is the ultimate variant.

We think America does the date backwards lol.
Oh I was just going to post that. 😂🤣
Today is the 12th January. 😂
Myne have a orange backlight and not blue why?

Push the bottom right button, then release and push it once more, but hold for 3 seconds.
Gotta love it. I'm going to try and see if I can get a signal during the day.
Didn't work for me. Not surprising since I'm about 2,500 miles away from the US tower. But still, this thing syncs every night without fail.
"Likes to read the date backwards" LOL, you should become a comedian, you're VERY funny......................
What series of battery to be able to power the Tough Solar? because the CR1620 battery is not solar tough
What? In english please.

Приглядитесь получше. Там действительно написано Ceptor.
