i feel sorry that u had to go thru all of those for removing 1 bolt. but thanks for recording and explaining your mistake, so everyone else could learn from it. great content as always. can't wait to see how ur car looks lowered and other future modifications you might be doing! keep it up man!
Hey, great video! Quick question, after you install the springs. Did you have to load the end links to install it on the car? I had coilovers install on my fk8 by a shop an there's a clunking noise on slow speeds over cracks and uneven roads but when driving fast there is no clunk. Not sure if you had any clunk after the spring install.
Hey man! I’m not really sure I haven’t heard about loading the end links before and mine connected right up, however now that you mention it there is a little clunk every once in a while if I go over a speed bump or hill at the right angle. I’ll look into that, and I was going to check out my car soon! Keep me updated if you find anything about it!
Reminds me of the time I did a front sway bar on my old srt4. One of the bolts snapped off in the frame. Took 5 hours to get the broken bolt out . Re thread it . And put in a new bolt.
so for the other side did you just remove the two bolts on the LCA bushing and leave the single bolt loose? and it dropped down low enough to remove the strut? i loosened the LCA bolts and still cant get it to drop low enough
Breaking the LCA Bolt loose should be enough to remove i had to get a pry bar in there and wedge it open, just don’t forget about the slit in the strut tower that allows you to slide it to the side
Bump stops kinda serve as a last resort so you don’t bottom out your suspension during travel, like your reducing the height of your spring you’d also decrease the height of the bump stop so it doesn’t have any issues just in case bottoming out or something 👍🏽
@@KevinRamirez-yx6ty I hope not it's my last project on my car I've already installed a high flow catalytic converter which is a downpipe, cat back valvetronic exhaust & running Jb4 map 2, so the springs will complete everything
yup that bolt is a bitch because of the fckin front sway bar. I've always used my hands to thread it and use my other hand to wiggle the LCA then when I know it's in that's when I start using tools to thread them in. done it 2x now and its never easy lol
Haha. Yeah the sway bar made it terrible I had to loosen it and get someone on the passenger side to pull down on it a bit and I had enough room to insert it after that
@@christianservin7635 Thanks man but I was able to Repair it back to Original, on both sides with the Tap and Die thankfully! 🙏🏽so it’s a 100% certified Repair haha
@@KevinRamirez-yx6ty sometimes you gotta watch multiple videos. Sorry that happend to you. But hey you learn something new. It's not my car and I think of that bolt you put in. Are you gonna get a oem bolt?
I seen a video where the guy said to remove that bolt . But then another guy just did the 2 rear bolts and it worked fine. I'm getting ready to do springs on my Type R soon. I'm not touching that horizontal bolt lol

When jobs go sideway it’s the worst .. I don’t ever wanna touch springs again haha
If you would have jacked up or raised up the control arm the bolt would have threaded on like butter.
Tried that, didn’t work
i just tore my cv boot doing my springs and of course the cv axle is on nationwide back order :/

Why do you need to cut bump stops, any issues if you dont cut it?

I remember the spring install on my type r the front was completely bs lol
I know right!!😂I was thinking the same thing
I just wonder how hard it would be to install them on a 21 Acura Tlx Type-s
I haven’t checked out there suspension set up before! But I doubt as hard as my experience haha. Hopefully…😂

Wanted to ask, how low of a drop did the springs give you?
The Swift springs are a 1 inch drop but I’ve seen some of them drop a little lower than that by a little, mine was perfectly an inch
@@KevinRamirez-yx6ty you do have any rubbing ? Also if you don’t mind me asking what’s your wheel and tire set up?

Definitely haha, I’m apart of that camber life right now
You went to two Home Depot’s and lowes… why not just go to Honda and buy the bolt from Honda 😵💫
Hondas Parts department closes at 7, It was past that, plus I needed to repair the threads not just run in a bolt
