hmm i think you might misunderstand the shortest path node a bit. you
keep referring to the endpoint as the start point(s). also by the trim curve node, the 'start' trims from the start, not to the start, meaning the endpoint is what is staying it place and the 'start' is what is getting trimming from. the paths end at the 'endpoints'. just wanted to point out that you inverted the terms. You probably just switched them by accident.

I have been wondering about this for a long time, but would it be possible to use the shortest path node to create any variation of stone wall? I have tried endlessly looking for a way to make this possible through shader nodes but it requires a lot more math and more time than I am able to put into it. Seeing this node makes me think that somehow we can utilize its ability to generate endless stacked stone walls. It would cost less in power to do it through a shader but maybe we can use geometry nodes to create a wall where you use the shortest path node as the grout lines. What are your thoughts on this?

That’s definitely possible and now with simulation nodes we can do even more. I would say it might take less nodes than you think to get to what you want but shortest path with a few others and then you can debug and add as you go, so yes it’s doable. The new mesh to volume node could also help. Check my last wet 4.0 update video…

@WookieMama what is your radius? And res? .005 is a good radius to start

@@WookieMama definitely don't connect it before you turn your radius down, it should come in default much smaller but that's blender
