Does the echo help with being understood through noise, or is it just a preference thing? Whenever I listen on CB I hear a lot of echo sometimes and can barely understand what they're talking about.

I still have my old Galaxy DX99V and Galxy 350 amp (Palomar, Cobra you know). Haven't used the radio in a long while but I ain't getting rid of it.
