Next week some time. I'm away at my dad's helping him out a bit be for he goes over seas. I should be home this weekend. I've got some new parts for my truck waiting for me. Good night man.
Great job!! I am in BC, Canada and about to buy a Sawback!! I like all that you did to yours!! Very cool!! I have a HH 35T or 55T motor I will add plus either a BRXL or Axial AE-2 ESC.
hey thanks for the reply on your other sawback video. thats a good idea with the 1 6 scale soldier because it looks more like a willys jeep. with a 7 inch figure it makes the jeep look alot bigger. but I like the army willys jeep more.hope you dont mind but im going to try that scale of soldier.had no idea you modded the body though good work.
G'day Wobble I have a Sawback on the way from the States. Love your build and was wondering if you could update me on the following; Did you consider a 35T Holmes motor which is what I'm thinking of installing. Also, your paint detailing which looks like olive drab. Did you paint the outside of the lexan body with a matt clear polycarbonate then spay ordinary acrylic OD or something different. regards Phil
Hi Phil, apologies for the late reply, I did consider a 35T motor but went with the 45t as I have one in another of my rigs and liked how it performed, sometimes a little more wheel speed would help but mostly it's a good combo on 3s, if your going to run 2s I would get the 35t. As for the paint I just prepped the body outside as I did the inside with a good soapy wash and air dry, I painted the inside and outside with polycarb Tamiya TS-28 Olive Drab and over the top(outside) I used standard Tamiya plastic paint, also TS-28 # 2 . Turned out great and has stood up to a bit of punishment now and looks better after some combat scars, lol, I used no clear, hope this helps, cheers Brett
It's great to see the man behind the sawback. You did an awesome job for your first time. That sawback is so cool looking. Thumbs up bro!
