Players gotta realize that it isn't just about talent nowadays. You have to be available, good teammate, coachable and not a distraction.
It still is about talent though, kyrie still going to get his bag in Dallas despite injuries, taking time off and a bad teammate. Players know they hold more power than ever before.
@@TyroneBiggums789 if it was still all about talent then he would have more options than just Dallas. Players who hold power are the ones who don't have a track record of foolishness yet.
@@TyroneBiggums789Nope , talent is one thing. But no point in talent when you don't show up and win. It's the reason Antonio Brown isn't in the NFL , Its the reason James Harden didn't have a market and the reason why Kyrie doesn't have a market either.
Did you see the highlights of James Harden.....His talent is trying to get fouls and disappearing....Not a good market for that...
Oh shut up. Jimmy was the villain a few years. You and these guys have no clue what you’re talking about

I can't remember a time in the NBA when so many HOF players are looked at more as liabilities by so many teams. Carmelo, Dwight Howard, Westbrook, Kyrie, Harden.
Kawhi, Paul George, Chris Paul, KAT (lazy), AD, Ja, Zion, Kyrie (deserves to be mentioned twice),Embiid (can’t even get past the 2nd round), Ben Simmons
Like kyrie don’t average 90 40 50 the disrespect gotta stop
@@THEREALMOEMONEYNobody is disrespecting his game, It's the off court drama that sours people's opinion of him
@williambrightman1375 his biggest drama was him refusing to get the vaccine and New York having a stupid rule set around it. Ask yourself why all the guys he's played with all still love him (except Harden obviously). The media keep trying to paint this image of him but lots of teams tried to get him when he requested the trade. Unfortunately the CBA has crippled a lot of them this free agency, it's nothing to do with Kyrie himself. If teams could afford to sign him, they'd absolutely be trying to, they just can't at the moment. Detroit and Houston will probably try, but I doubt he'll accept those over Dallas.
@@deadlyninjafish Beyond the vaccine he's always finding a reason to miss games. He quit on Boston, made little effort on Brooklyn, and then demanded a trade. I'm sure players love playing with him because he's good, but as a franchise, you're not gonna love paying a guy $40Myr for 5 years, when he plays in half the games and doesn't bring any real success to the teams. YOu can only live on the Cav's title wins for so long.
The NBA is so screwed up. Star players can just use the bad teams with all the cap space to get their max deals, then just demand a trade and go to a contender.

Preach bruh
Yeah I was a little confused when peek said that………..We started the season fine,Things went bad after all star break
The issue was having the best defensive big out injured, they trying to bring him back right at the end of the year. Then trading away the best wing defender. Mavs have to try and replace the defensive presence of DFS or they're gonna have the same problem this season too. Wrong question. The question should be, why did you hire him in the place. He has choked nearly every year of his career. Even the 08 Celtics, every series he got taken to 7, even by Josh smith Atlanta hawks. He got taken to town despite having double the stars of any other team he played. That Celtics team was so loaded and has multiple coaches, vets, and HOFers that they basically won playing 5 on 6 - their opponent plus doc.

Doc is not a good coach. Every team save for Boston has completely melted down when it matters most. He’s an assistant coach at best, not a head coach if you want your team to win. Every team flames out spectacularly.

I think it's not about "there's no market for Kyrie", it's a matter of who are the teams who are willing to create and move heaven and earth to acquire him. There's none, because of his track record of not showing up for work.
Or it's just hard to move a bunch of players and create a max cap slot which is why that is very rarely ever done. The players considered liabilities carry big salaries and are under contract. Kyrie is a free agent with a market of one. Can't think of a worse pairing than with Luka, and you have proof of that. The team record with them together was worse than GS's road record.

They wanted to team in Brooklyn. They wanted to split. Now the teams have the say...?
In order to have a market u need to be playing regularly..
Displaying harden lowlights while talking bout his free agency is crazy
I know Harden has came short in moments but putting that pressure on Maxey isn't fair, how do these "analysts" believe that a 22 year old can replace an all time great? I do think Harden should take accountability but he atleast won them 2 games on his own. Embiid doesn't get any blame ever and I don't get it, he has never made it past the second round and there's a reason for that.
It’s all narrative. They don’t actually watch the games. They would say he need to take a lesser role but he already did that and when Embiid couldn’t elevate the team they put the blame on him. He definitely had some bad moments but they are acting like he was the only guy that played bad. If they were really watching the games they wouldn’t talk about Maxey like that, his ceiling is not that high. He’s just another bucket guetter and when his shots doesn’t fall in he is useless
@@bruce2498 factsssss, putting that kind of pressure on Maxey isn't fair.
Why not? Maxey does not have to do everything. Sicers play better when ball is shared
Harden has been absolutely buried this off season on TV
Why does ESPN insist on hiring all these clowns?
Is this yesterday's episode?
Sure doesn't because he loses more than he wins
He doesn’t just lose. He destroys teams. Look at Boston. Did better every year since Isaiah Thomas then the year with Kyrie. Nets had a lot of assets and a good coach in Kenny Atkinson. Destroyed by Kyrie. Mavs went to the WCF then couldn’t even make the play in with Kyrie. Only Lebron can keep him in check. He needs to come to the lakers to reprove his worth.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelbyhe’s a team cancer. He is completely unreliable and any team that gives him a max deal deserves what they get.
@@iwishiwasthomasshelby the Celtics were a first round exit and a 7th seed just 2 years ago without Kyrie. They lost to Kyrie and the nets in the first round by the way. Stop letting the media make you an idiot. Teams have good and bad years. And that's okay. Dirk only won 1 ring in his 20 year career. Same for most great players. And a lot of great players have no rings at all.
@@terrence8483 how about this? Use common sense. This has literally happened with every team in his career and your Cherry picking small specific cases to make a false point. Can you actually just try to think and use some common sense and look at the trend over time that has repeated itself over and over and over again? I guess the media also made the Mavs go from one game out of third to missing the playin. I guess the media also made the nets fire Kenny Atkinson and trade all their young assets and future. I don’t understand why people need to learn the same lesson over and over and over again yet still can’t wrap their heads around the obvious, simple, simple conclusion.

Both teams should be going after Vanvleet. Time-tested, extremely talented, and makes everyone around him better.
That 39% fg percentage is pretty horrific though
I tell you this. If they opened a donut shop across the street from Windhorst's house, it would have one heck of a market
I doubt there is a single NBA fanbase out there that would say "Yay, we're getting Kyrie Irving".
He has a market lol He's too talented not to have a market but the thing is he has to be with the team that's willing to commit to him personally because if it's not then you saw what happened to Dallas. The moment they got him it has to fit. It has to be a fit for him
Eventually talent means less when you CHOOSE to barely play for various reasons EVERY SEASON
Dallas wasn’t necessarily just kyrie being a bad fit. They drained assets taking a big swing on KP, it didn’t work out, then they had to give up assets just to move off of him, then they let their 2nd best asset walk in free agency, and now they gave up more assets for kyrie. It’s not that kyrie is a bad fit, it’s just they’ve drained all their assets on previous bad moves, now the team needs desperately to reload with assets.
