I'm a blanket junkie living in Wisconsin. Best blankets for the price are hand made Alpaca wool from Peru. Campo Alpaca is the conpany. I have no affiliation with them... just have ~10 blankets from them that I love!
The ectos and arcturus shouldn't be placed anywhere near the words "best" or "top quality". They're both junk blankets made from recycled wool that stink, shed, are stiff and scratchy etc... They're fine for something cheap that you'll leave in the trunk for emergencies or throw on the dirt when you go camping, but they're not anywhere near the quality of the Ritzy or a Pendleton or Faribault or any other actual quality wool blankets. There's a reason why you can buy a handful of ectos or arcturus blankets for the cost of one quality, heirloom blanket...the reason is because they're junk.
