Last April I stumbled over LF on YT, not knowing anything about her. "Je suis malade" ... after only 20 secs my traditional view on vocalists changed completely. On my scale from 1 to 10 she has at least an 11.
The woman loved Quebec so much she took the nationality in 95 (if I remember correctly) and came back to live there for good. She talked about having been heartbroken to leave at some point because of her huge international career. She says its her country of heart. Beautiful song. Thanks for the reaction. I like that you can see both her simplicity as a person and her mastery as a singer ❤️
This song is about the Province of Quebec, in Canada. We adopted her and love her as our own. And she sends it back. Je me souviens is our motto. It means WE REMEMBER... (where we come from... So we keep on speaking French... While surrounded by a continent that speaks English. PS: No HATE at ALL towards Canada. I believe we should all learn English in Quebec and be truly bilingual. Just because it would give us a definitive edge in this country. I served in the Forces and I'm just a Canadian from Quebec. I was born here, so I can't really shake it off. Nor do I want to. It's the safest and cheapest place to live on the continent.
That song is from one of my favourite album of Lara "9", none of those songs that she sing in it, she belted out, but the power of the sweetness in which she sung those songs, is just splendid, those songs are like the "fine wine" that you delicately enjoy
Hi, you're absolutely right: she's down-to-earth. Both a simple, natural and exceptional person and woman. Her lyrics always look simplicistic but they are more deep than we can think. They are often very subtle.
Thanks for this nice and rare reaction of Lara. I came to the same conclusions as you did after questioning myself about the reasons that made me love her so much as an artist, and has a person. And she shares her true self in such a natural way, that all we have to do is open our hearts and feel her emotions. I suppose this is where the simplicity lies. I hope you are feeling better these days. Regardless, please take care.
Hello 'M' lovely to see you and such a beautiful comment! Yes she is indeed a very beautiful woman with an even more beautiful soul. Yes, I am feeling much better - it was a struggle but hopefully clear the other side now. I hope you're ok and getting ready for the weekend. Enjoy. Speak soon. Psyche 🙋🏽♀️🌹✨
It's shame, Psyche, that you don't have the translation of this magnificent song, a true declaration of love for this adopted country of Canada, where Lara now lives with her husband and daughter;Je me souviens = I remember me. Indeed she has not forgotten and this country gives her back this love. I am happy for her. Thanks to you for all the beautiful things you say
Hello dear Maze thanks for your beautiful comment - very much appreciated 🌹. As said before regarding subtitles/words, I will not 'spoon feed' anyone - if anyone wants to find out the words then Google is very much at their disposal - and I'm so busy as I'm bringing all this and other artists' content for FREE and there's a lot of work involved - I produce Lara's in 5-7 languages already - German, French, Spanish, Korean, Arabic, Russian, Portuguese which has helped widen her audience, all off my own back. But If anyone wants to post it they can. As for the beautiful things I say, it's beyond a pleasure, truly. Have a wonderful Thursday/weekend Maze, stay safe, healthy and happy (and your family). 🙋🏽♀️🌹✨. p.s. My heart is to live in Canada. To me, it's one of the most beautiful countries I have ever visited and I hope to live there one day...x
I think my words have not been understood : I think it's for YOU Psyche that the translation of the lyrics was important for this particular song. Your job is really great, and it's very good to have the translation of your comments.I am hurry to see your next videos !!!!@@psycheinc-theSLC
I REALLY don't want to sound like a Quebec whatever. But "JE ME SOUVIENS", is Quebec's Provincial MOTTO, It's on our license plates and also what is on the R22erR's unit badge. Its meaning is quite simple it's about remembering that we were French first (some separatists associate it with the Patriots, but that is their issue. ) . And it's where she LIVES in Canada. But YES! By all means. My WHOLE country is beautiful and worth loving. I lived in 7 provinces and I think it's an Amazing place.. I'm just pointing to an obvious detail. That is all.
Hello for me one of the most beautiful songs of Lara written in honor of her adopted country Canada and more specifically Quebec country where Lara really started her career before coming back to Europe. currently and since wheat confinement Lara to live there Thanks 😘

Yes, you made complete sense at the end, and I fully agree. As everyone has already said, this is a love song to Quebec. But I would add that this video does more than that. Lara, as you now know, is a massive ally to the LGBTQ community. She didn't just write one song and then walk away from it. She incorporates it along the way, in big and small ways. In this video she makes the song both a love song to Quebec and also a love song to a woman. She could have chosen anything as a visual stand in for Quebec, she chose this. As you said, her art is a not just a reflection of who she is, but a volumnizer. (My spell check did not like that word but I think it's perfectly fitting 😊)
With the Winter Olympics on our doorstep, I thought to send this your way as a lovely treat of Lara’s glorious voice. She sang this 10 years ago in opening Asian games. Still just as meaningful this year. And visuals are so cool.
I just wanted to let you know I appreciate you as a reactor you take the view or into consideration so they could enjoy your reaction and the video. More Lara Fabian, and treat yourself to the best male vocalist on planet Earth David Phelps is most popular. He won't disappoint

Sorry! This song was written to honour the Canadian province of Quebec where she moved to when she was 18 if I remember well and started the international career. Quebec is also where she moved back with her husband and daughter.
Can we finally say Lara is the best singer, male or female of all time....period
I've been saying that since I discovered her a year ago!
I've been saying it since discovering her by way of the 2018 Olympics! ☺️
