I was scrolling along youtube shorts, then I saw a man release a huge Wind Chime like structure. The noise it made when first released was menacing and unpleasant. I wished to know how the structure sounded under more natural circumstances. I looked up Big Bang Windchime and found this video. The sounds the structures make are unique. There is a darkness that rings out and a chill of mystery in the sound. It is beautiful and pwrful to watch and hear. I hope to experience the sound and sight in person someday. ❤
@scarcat666 I came for the same reason, and must say, I don't like it..... but, everyone is different. The film is made well, I just don't like the sound of the chime.

I found out about this video from a shorter video about the art piece on Facebook and someone posted a link to your UA-cam video, I'm so glad I found it.
@@TheFedericoLin Hi Frederic, When Etienne exhibited the Big Bang here in Zürich, they showed your film. They hired me (Kontrabass) and pianist Alex Wilson to write and perform music to your film. We watched it a few times and ended up writing some music. Some of it was improvised, some written. Then, we performed the music live (with Etienne present) to your film at the unveiling. They then in turn filmed us and recorded our performance, and they gave me a DVD with your film, plus the music we performed that evening, ha ha… A complicated story, I know… But anyway, I just thought I’d share it with you.

This was so immersive. I was mesmerized! I saw a short clip of the chime on Snapchat then had to do some digging, and I am so glad that I found the original source.
Since Mr.Filmmaker Frederic asked in comments a number of times, I was recommended a YT short of Etienne's newer work, and I had to see more. Lovely film. The sculpture almost appears to come alive when in motion.
I mean... I think this piece of art is beautiful, captivating, and clever in its simplicity, but I've got to admit, I'd hate to live next to it. You'd never be able to enjoy the quiet peace of a simple breeze ever again. And can you imagine it during a raging storm?
I was thinking the same thing!! And how far away can you hear it? Surely they would belt it for big raging storms, but I wonder if you'd get used to it eventually. We live near train tracks, and I'm so used to the sound of the trains that I forget others aren't. Company always reminds me they aren't used to it
Saw this in a short, which was impressive, but didn't really do this wonderful piece justice. The movement and sound after being released from the rope are both mesmerising, and I am also in awe of the shot at 13:45 with all the wires glittering in the sunlight.

Hi Fred. The newer scultpture was in a YT short in my feed which cut off before the sculpture "settled". Wanted to see how it looked and sounded in its "neutral" wind blown state. Googled the name of the artist and selected the longer of the videos offered. Hope that helps.
If you are looking for simple footage of only the brilliant sculpture in motion, with no added sound by the video editor, we only get about 2 minutes at the 14 minute mark. Then it is disturbed by added sound again. I really just wanted to see the sculpture in motion, without additional sound and without "artistic" camera shots/ angles. I will never see it in person, so I just wanted an impression of what this fabulous sculpture would be like. I will keep looking.
Beautiful art! This making me think if this is the kind of visual phenomenon, what we would see if a 4D (fourdimentional) sphere would little bit rotate or move forth and back in our 3D space. (Bc when a sphere goes through a 2D space/ sheet it would appear as a cirlcle that grows from a dot to the circumtance of it and then it shrinks as it continues through the 2D space)

I think it is beautiful and creative but I do feel sorry for the birds and small animals that can probably no longer live there because this would scare the heck out of them. Better displayed in a museum.

Beautiful art and cinematography! I love windchimes but I have to admit I don't care for the sound they make. I wonder what it sounds like when they aren't pulsing? I bet they would sound better with the natural wind movement.

Beautiful art and cinematography! I love windchimes but I have to admit I don't care for the sound they make. I wonder what it sounds like when they aren't pulsing? I bet they would sound better with the natural wind movement.

It is amazing. How about what it sounds like in a light , medium, and heavy wind? Didn't even do it, that makes no sense. Wind chime that we didn't hear in the wind.
They are showing the sound it makes when being tighened together and then let go of it
