Shotout to the cameraman, to be able to keep up with two ultramarothoners and a hardened adventurer who'd been training all while lugging about a big camera and getting good footage is proper impressive

Man your music will forever remind me of the Covid pandemic lockdown. Your adventuring videos felt cozy, nostalgic and kept me sane during these stressful, crazy years. Your music now has a very soothing effect on me. It reminds me of cozying up inside, feeling safe from the craziness that's happening out there.

Just to clarify: the car thing was a genuine accident, not intentional. There was no scratch or dent on the car, it just left a bit of a dust mark. Ben had a decent look at it 👌

Tom, this might well be your best video yet. The editing, pacing, narrative-it's excellent. Whether or not you ended up completing this (though I bet you did), the creativity and production quality on this short film is already an impressive achievement. I hope you have a long career of making films like this because you have a true talent. S/o to Stan the Marathoner especially, the editing and photography are great.

shout out to the cameraman/editor. not at all a rag on the mission vids to point, because they're excellent, but the upgrade in quality from having a dedicated crew member for that is beyond.

@@rgqwerty63 no it's been Tom editing this whole time, I think he's only fairly recently gotten an editor for his GeoGuessr videos, but all the adventures (save for this one) are edited by Tom himself.
To be perfectly honest, I don't really like this. Aspect ratio aside (I think uncommon nowadays 4:3 has its charm), the editing feels... different. Not worse mind you, just noticably not the same style. One complaint I do have is the subtitle styling (a bit hard to read in places, with the too transparent background and poor font), ideally it'd be a youtube caption instead of in the video (alongside the full one, something like: "English - poor audio" and "English - full"). Also, the different music feels out of place, though I don't really have a problem with that, it is a different series after all :D
Crossing countries in a straight line tickled my fancy, but bringing a football into the equation took it over the edge! Well done, mate! Top class entertainment amidst some valuable life lessons.

The audio quality at the beginning of the actual mission was way worse than in any other video with all the wind and barely audible talking I was actually annoyed. I didn't like the new music one bit, either. Way more effort for this one for lower quality :/. But still, adventure is adventure, good that there is a new one :)
@@thulyblu5486 Tom is just running three marathons while dribbling a foot ball and this madlad is actually complaining about the audio quality because it is windy.
@@frosd2870 Well even he balanced a seal on his head which in turn balanced a colorful ball on its snout for the entire three marathons that wouldn't make the annoying audio any less annoying. It worked better when he did it alone, not sure why, just sure that it's the case.

The bird is a juvenile jackdaw! Judging by the lack of a closed foot ring, just a wild one. They're very smart! If you give him food, he'll probably remember you and spread the word amongst his jackdaw friends that you're nice
However the wildlife rehabber in me needs to say: don't try to tame down wild birds on purpose. This one is already so tame that it doesn't hurt to just chuck him some food occasionally. But if he gets hurt and brought to a wildlife shelter, they won't be allowed to release him.

Wow, big respect to all of you and especially to Stan on the camera! Having to keep your equipment under control, be creative, get all the shots and casually run your first marathon at the same time - I am truly impressed! And the footage is definitely worth it!
I'm seriously confused why they didn't get a more athletic person to do the filming. Surely one of the ultra marathoners would've been more suited for it. It feels like we are missing some key piece of information.

This is some insane editing and filming. Props to the massive feat, first of all, but also props to everyone else who helped you in this journey.

I’ve been a long time viewer and you are a true inspiration to me, I’m 17 and am leaving this weekend to cycle from Lands end to John o groats, one end of the UK to the other, I’m doing it solo and wild camping the way, carrying it all on my cheap Halfords mountain bike. I would like to thank you Tom for being incredibly entertaining through the years but also for how much you have inspired and motivated me. Keep up the fantastic work and keep doing you.

Major props to Stan the cameraman! To come along for the entire journey having only ran 10km's before in his life on top of having to carry all the camera equipment is dedication and then some!

Top notch as always, Tom (and team). Lost my dad recently and going through old photos I found a bunch of him and his mates taken on a climbing and sailing trip to Norway in their early 20s. It was strange seeing him so young, so smiley and carefree. Seeing you all out there doing this gives me the same vibes. Y'all will remember this for the rest of your lives, and it's lovely to watch! Shoutout cameraman Stan, hard as nails.

Solid work Tom! I am really looking forward to the conclusion of this series. Thank you so much for putting money to much needed awareness. Depression can hit us hard and the way out is not always easy to be found. As long as we are pushing towards a brighter future, no matter how it meanders, we are at least a little closer. I think the joy that you felt at the beginning of this journey and the despair that can come from things not working out as planned are a great metaphor for digging out from depression. Good on ya mate.

Hey Tom, great video and a great cause which I donated to! But... 27:15, that did make me a bit uncomfortable. Something similar has happened to my car and although it may seem like a laugh at the time, it's a real pain in the ass - especially when someone's car is their pride and joy!
Have to agree, it’s pretty scummy behaviour to run away after you notice you’ve marked the car. Not to mention that it wasn’t even their ball, they were just kicking someone else’s ball off into the distance- leave other people’s stuff alone! I bet they would’ve all been sulking if a passerby had hoofed their ball off the path…

A good friend of mine has taken his own life this past week, its hit us all so hard. He was one of the nicest kindest people Iv ever met In my life and I’m going to miss him so much. If you can save just one person Tom I want to say thank you now on their behalf, and on their friends and families behalf coz they will probably never know they need to thank you. This pain is awful and the guilt you feel that you maybe missed some sort of cry for help is a heavy burden. I don’t wish that on anyone.
And if anyone out there feeling like there is no other option and are reading these comments and happens to see this, take my advice, just talk to a friend or family member please, I know it’s hard coz you don’t want to feel like a burden or you don’t want to come across as weak, your loved ones will never think that of you but my god will they miss you when you are gone.
Thank you for your hard work and content. You are by far my favorite channel on UA-cam. Been on a GeoWizard marathon last couple of days while ill, keeping my spirits up.

This is incredible. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about the idea of this challenge when you first pitched it (mainly because I'm not a big sports guy, so something to do with football didn't sound all that interesting) but I can now say with confidence that my skepticism was completely misplaced. Tom, this might be the best challenge you've ever done. And the production value! It's insane. Props not only to you for attempting this but all the rest of the crew for tagging along, I'm in such bad shape I could probably barely jog a kilometer or two without stopping and you guys are all able to keep up with each other. Great editing and camerawork too. 10/10, looking forward to the next part!
