If this is a UA-cam video, why not announce the winner on UA-cam (Community or a video)? People did not watch the video on Twitter. Is the review on Twitter as well?
There needs to be more company’s making these kinds of products. The next generation won’t all be streamers, but I think gaming and desk setups will be much more common
A dynamic mic would be great for my setup, I have to put the gain all the way down to 1 on my AT2020usb+ just to amend some of the echo and noises around me
Crazy I've been looking for a Light bar to setup to get some better light for the webcam! I was also just looking at this Mic, wild timing! Thanks again for doing these as you're my favorite channel for streamer tech.
I feel like some of these dynamic mics either need to offer more at this price point or target a lower price. Aesthetics can't be the only reason you are double the price of similar sounding offerings from companies like Samson and Audio Technica.
I love that you still do these deep dives on the new stuff coming out. Your channel is the only place I come to for information on the new hardware and whether or not it's worth the money or the trouble.
My biggest problem with my stream setup is still solving this problem: my wife and I stream together and want to be able to wear headphones, preferably our wireless usb headsets, and to be able to talk to each other without latency through our microphones so that we can immersively play a game like Starfield or Skyrim or Horizon Zero Dawn together. The problem is that there is no good solution to this. Every solution ends up with bad latency, or with wired headphones into an audio interface which has its own problems with direct monitoring. It gets very convoluted, very fast. The product I want and need is an audio interface + mixing software that will allow for two (or more) xlr mic inputs, a native, built in 2.4ghz headphone transmitter, with direct monitoring mixing of the microphones and a low latency pc mix. The company that makes this in high quality will solve two streamer setups. Right now that setup can be created with several different devices put together for a very high price, but a combo of them would be stellar.
I got to test this and give feedback, the two things i said were to make the cable management better cus that cable hangs weird, even if they could just send an angled cable it would be better and the slot in the back only handles one cable when it should handle multiple. the second thing i said was to have it separate in the middle and extend telescopically so its like two lights on the same stand. looks like they didnt do either
i am really digging that light man is that thing super nice also that GX mic sounds pretty great gear has definitely come a long way over the years i have a the logitu30 as a webcam and mic currently i got it like 7 years ago and i thought it was ok but all the stuff out there now makes it look like dollar store gear im going to have to save to get some of this stuff even just to use for classes
noicely done! i always come back to your vids for reviews on items im looking at or items my friends might be looking at and recommend your vids to my friends lol
The mics are def cool and I'd agree that the biggest downside is the lack of mixing software. Ever since getting of my original Yeti to the Wave3, i cant imagine not having wavelink. That light tho 👀
Hell YES! It's about time we got an update from Logitech! Thanks for the good & honest review appreciate it. Hilarious that the knife attacked the mic haha
Been debating moving from my £30 Razor Mini to the Logi Blue Yeti X for some time but it has always just felt too expensive. Maybe I will have more luck with the price dropping or going for the new one. Cheers!
honestly that light is super sick. Not sure how to feel about the microphones though. the yeti GX is half the size of a regular yeti, takes up less space.
Thanks again for the review of the hardware I can definitely see a use case for something like this, is blue voice recommended for any microphone? I am having some sound issues when I sing and play guitar at the same time
I'm still rocking an old-school Yeti and Snowball Yeti from the late 2000s. I should upgrade as the two mics pick up every little sound in the house. 📢
waiting for you to review the Instamic ... mine recently arrived and I am super stoked. Hoping it will be my all round mic: action cam, Iphone, tablet and PC
Looks amazing ! Thought I must say, all the Shiny New good stuff takes Months before I get to see it here in Australia. Right now I use a hodgepodge of razer peripherals and old iPhones for cameras using Camo Studio and OBS Ninja. Now I don't stream per se, but I do stream to Discord for teaching Japanese or playing the Cyberpunk TableTop RPG with my friends and I'm constantly changing camera angles by changing scenes where one is screenshare and another is my whiteboard. I don't use a Mixer or a StreamDeck but I use my NumPad to switch scenes in OBS... All this, you and Nutty have taught me. One day I'd love to dabble in making UA-cam videos and I know these days the hurdle to content creation is low but the sheer quality of videos that people are able to put out there these days is... a daunting endeavour I must say.
The light looks great. But I bought some Logitech lights in the past and they didn't have support on the Stream Deck. That's a deal breaker IMO. I get they a competitor. Consumers don't want lock-in.
Something I know isn't really a big market within a lot of these companies but is something I personally would love to see is more USB microphones that follow a more studio condenser look like the nt1a or u87 look but cheaper with a modern clash with headphone jacks and all. I just love how they look and hope that a company does something like this idea
the white balance adjustment on the face light is not so it "lights your skin tones perfectly" but so it matches the white balance of the rest of your lighting (and/or your camera calibration)
Thanks for wading through all the different products out there. The light looks really awesome. I have been thinking about what potential microphone to get and you are really good at explaining things in laymen terms, my tiny human addled brain really appreciates that 😂
I am glad to see Logitech keeping the Yeti around and updating the microphone. Last year I upgraded from the Yeti Blackout to the Elgato Wave 3 for streaming and general gaming. It has been a game changer as I don't have to go back and edit my audio to remove random sounds that the Yeti picked up. Note: I still use the Yeti for music-vocal recording as I feel it sounds better than the Elgato for this particular use case. Emoji tax:
When I saw the thumbnail for this video I got excited but was sad to find out the pic is of the top of the beam lx. I thought the pic was showing a light bar with some cool beamforming mic array. How cool would that be if some company made that. A good light ring with a mic array built in. I love solutions that would allow me to put the mic off cam but still sound as good as one that is just inches away from my pie hole
The light bar is really fun, a refreshing bit of creativity there. I'm not a huge RGB on everything kind of person so the mics don't really do a lot for me, there's also so many mic options out there it's getting hard to get excited for new releases like this haha
I appreciate the new products being reviewed! Harris - Would you mind uploading your EQ profile so that the rest of us can download it in G-Hub? Side Note: I'm not a fan of Logitech burying the Blue brand overall, because what happens to all those compelling microphone models they had? The Spark's are essentially gone now with the Blue website being taken down, and besides the Sona, I don't know what else will be offered, if any condenser mics will be continued to be sold after 2025. Fifine has already been offering dynamic USB mics with RGB, they just lacked the software integration.
We found one issue with this mic. It refuses to mute in the system settings. The only way to mute it is by pressing the physical mute button. Not sure if it's a firmware issue or driver issue. We also own the Yeti X and this is not an issue with that one at all.
@@DKTD23 I tried to test it again yesterday afternoon and didn't receive any updates for it. I should elaborate tho. We're unable to mute it with Stream Deck System Mute toggle or via system. The OS believes it's muted but it's not. I'll connect again today to see if an update comes down.
I am with you I need to hear myself and yes we need to regulate companies from having to much information from us to be used. Talking about the Yeti GX.
Pretty cool that Logitech are still bringing out new products for streamers. More competition benefits the consumer so much so keep 'em comin'! Saying that, the mics are not enough to get me away from my Wave 1. The light however...me likey. As I likey'd the video! Always enjoy some Senpai Gaming content. Thanks for the video!
Love the new look of the Yeti mics, they seem smaller and sleeker, which is always nice. I do like the stand for the GX and how it looks, the side mount is so cool.
I love the light bar idea! Lighting the back wall and having a light, light your face/background is super smart. The mics are ehh though. However, I would recommend the Logitech blue sona.
I not only liked, commented, and subscribed, I also watched to the end, hit the notification bell and SHARED the video because my channel needs lighting help!!
I got a pair of Snowball Ice mics for myself and my wife a few years ago and it sunk in very slowly to me that they pick up e v e r y t h i n g. A dynamic mic back then wasn't in my budget because I needed to split said budget into two. Even still, today, a dynamic mic from Logitech is really enticing to me and if I can save up some of the rewards points from my credit card, I can get two of the Yeti GX. ...Or I can win the giveaway and just need to buy one later. 😅
That’s why I still use my Blue Yeti mic with the software and it sounds amazing. Yes it does need mixing software for gaming/streaming but if you’re just streaming it’s a good go to
the lightbar would be cool if you could figure out how to pair it with your stream so that way maybe a big dono or sub comes in and you give like the "evacuate sound with some flashing with the lights or maybe horror games and chat uses it for redeeming a flash of the light mid game as a scare
I was going to gripe at the price of the light, but saw it has threads to mount on other mounts, so it can be positioned literally anywhere you can put a mount and am now way more enthralled.
The beam lx is the best out of the three for sure, solid value for those who want something to both add practical lighting for their face cam and also just add some spice to their setup via rgb.
the light is def the coolest thing out of three. the mics are in a weird spot where they dont sound as good as they cost or rather you could find better sounding and less intrusive mics.
I used to have a snowball, and it broke within months. Then I went to a normal yeti, which worked fine. But ive been using a wave 3 for awhile now and love it
Please do a video on the fifine dynamic microphone it seems like a pretty good price but I can't seem to find many videos that enjoy watching as much as yours that also give me a good review.
yo random question but what website are you on at 6:53? I shot these photos and would love to screen grab that site for my portfolio, haha! I've crept all over the logitech site but cant find this layout!

@@nickdualwell when you ads through corners it helps get the drop on an enemy. 😂
I had the original snowball for ages and am kinda surprised the sound quality doesn't seem to get that much better with the upgrade
I really found that the quality of the yeti was always sub par for the price comprared to other similarly prices mics.
@@jackoe1246it always has noticeable hiss or buzz that they never fixed for like 10 years 💀
There needs to be more company’s making these kinds of products. The next generation won’t all be streamers, but I think gaming and desk setups will be much more common
Really loving these honest and down to earth reviews from Harris!
A dynamic mic would be great for my setup, I have to put the gain all the way down to 1 on my AT2020usb+ just to amend some of the echo and noises around me
Am I the only one that thinks the Yeti GX sounded better WITHOUT Blue Voice?
Same here (using Kiwi Orchestra Lite iems (aka earphones but good quality ones).
Crazy I've been looking for a Light bar to setup to get some better light for the webcam! I was also just looking at this Mic, wild timing! Thanks again for doing these as you're my favorite channel for streamer tech.
Awesome, ive just finished a streaming set up.... im just missing, a mic, light and boom 😢

Yess literally was waiting for your vid covering these!
Loved this breakdown! Lol I noticed you weren’t in the studio! And I love the change up!
Interesting mics and light! The light is a gamechanger because of the small footprint. I can see that becoming a norm!

Love this! Thanks for sharing this amazing review!
